Nice video. Disclaimer for anybody wanting to mix Exceder LED with RSS/SR, SL/SLM, Exceder LED3, or classic Exceder strobes: Due to their slow flash pattern, first-generation LED Exceders cannot be mixed with their newer LED3 replacements, nor can they be mixed with any syncable Wheelock xenon strobes. However, LED3 strobes and syncable xenon strobes can be mixed.

In the UK, fire alarms are always coded to continuous. They usually use a whoop, high low or warble tone

The voice evac at my school does the two stage. It play the slow whoop tone and message three times, and after that, it play the slow whoop tone that lasts longer. Btw, my school uses a simplex 4100U

The Philadelphia airport also has double strobes. However, the alert strobe is the one on the top and they are simplex truealerts. What would the alert strobes be used for in the airport?

My guess is that it’s a sort of long pre alarm sort of thing. Where people in a building can either prepare to, or start, evacuating a building. That’s just my guess
