I had seen Joe Pera in the past and watched most episodes, something about his soft demeanor made me feel safe. This last year I admitted myself to the psych ward, it was my third stay but it was the first time I had admitted myself before actually attempting something. I was shook up and scared, tossing and turning, I didn't even want to turn the TV on because most of the time television upsets me... and it did. I turned it on and the tail end of a Rick and Morty episode played, but after it ended Joe Pera came on, and most of my fear simmered down. Adult Swim played 4 episodes back to back at such a scary time in my life and for a brief moment I cried and didn't feel so overwhelmed. I don't owe my life to Joe Pera or anything, but like a good friend, he was there for me when I needed him most.

They're always confused at first, but the short episodes really do a great job of getting their hooks in. Joe kinda seems like that awkward friend you had in middle school, and despite them not being very interesting, they're still in your friend group well on into your adult years, working the 9 to 5. Joe Pera Talks With You is my favorite show of all time. As an autistic person, I relate A LOT to Joe + Sarah. But also love how most of the other characters are very upfront. They can tell that Joe + Sarah are a little different, but they don’t care. They just love them as is. I also find the most joy in things that are labeled as small and mundane- and this series shows that these things are actually what makes life so special.

Joe pera is one of the greatest shows I’ve ever watched. I have incredibly niche reasons for loving it. My family is from northern Michigan and the show takes place there too. Not the same region but the same vibe. And it really helped me through a pretty difficult part of my life mentally and it still does. It’s just incredibly charming and is set in the same world we are now and sorta is a head on take of nihilist thoughts and the strange modern world we’re in. His relationship with Sarah he has in the show is so truly charming and the shows end made me tear up a bit. It’s just such a sweet show that feels so real and is something you can relate both in easy or difficult times someone might be going through. Like he said it’s honestly not a very deep show at all. I’ve taken deeper meanings on it personally that makes me happy, but it’s just wonderful, and it is legit hilarious at times.

I think what made this show standout of the others it’s the fact it is innovative in a sense that it’s not what the common general public is used to see (some super hero bs or something that’s has to be thought provoking or a action to be thrilling). It just a simple concept putted in a heartwarming character And, to me, it’s more than enough and a breath of fresh air

His character feels almost idealistically human, plain, simple and mundane but ever so content to just be, I like it.

Adult swim has always been that one late night comedy Channel that you'd see whatever new shit was pushing boundaries. Joe Pera has been one of my favorite modern additions to their lineup.

I discovered Joe with a random RU-vid video that had him reading a story for an hour. His soft talking voice and dry approach is exactly what I was looking for

I've been watching Joe Pera for a few years and he is honestly one of my favorite people on this planet. His podcast and show are something that I will frequently turn to when I'm feeling stressed and it always does the trick. He's so genuine with everything he says and it's something that I strive to be myself. God bless this man.

Im glad someone talked about this show. Found it late at night when it first aired. I was immediately hooked on the charm and the feeling of just a guy video taping himself. Especially when it was reaching the late hours, was really nice to have a nice thing to close my eyes and listen to as I fell asleep.

This reminds me of that one thing that went viral once, where some place opened a library, where instead of reading books, you sit next to people who tell you their life story.

Adult Swim and Newgrounds formed the bridge between TV and the internet for me as a kid. I used to only watch cartoon network, but then after being exposed to Adult Swim, I wanted to watch more stuff like it, leading me to Newgrounds.

Joe Pera talks with you was my favorite show adult swim ever put out, no lie. I actually watched it when the first season came out, and funnily enough my life wasn't really great for a number of reasons. Listening to Joe perry dry humor and seemingly sincere kindness really brought up my sports and hope back into my life. It sucks that the series wasn't renewed this past year, but I'm really glad Joe is still doing things on the side and was able to what he could when he had the chance!

Joes 10 hour version of his animation talking you back to sleep helped keep me alive a lot of nights when I came home from the military. Imagine my surprise a few years later when I learn he has a whole show. Bless Mr. Pera, he truly is one of the best people online and in the world.

Discovered this show in late 2019. Was at a really low part of my life and hearing Joe’s calm and charismatic voice as he describes mundane topics like breakfast or sleeping managed to melt away my depression and made me cry tears of pure happiness. No other show was able to do that. Thank you Joe Pera and god bless you.

as an autistic person, Joe Perra talks with you has been one of my favorite shows, it perfectly captures, to me, the experience of being autistic. people lament "a cold unfeeling existence" but really, my life is filled with joy for the mundane, and episodes of Joe Perra being me to tears nearly every time. its like, i see someone like me on screen for the first time. someone who loves live as much as me in the way i do, and yes! its comedy, its so goddamn funny it's its dry wit, but its also just, so good
