That ending was contrived revisionist history garbage. He clearly believed the FL killed his sister in the beginning. To do some stupid reveal in the end that the FL actually did have a mental breakdown, he sent her to the mental hospital to protect her from prison and he always believed her was ridiculous. In 5 years he never checked on her. He never even knew he had a daughter. He also got engaged to another woman. No matter what that other woman did, he always forgave her. She framed, hurt and even almost killed a child and he forgave her. She arranged a black market heart donor for him that he thought might be the sister that was killed and he still forgave her. He treated his own daughter like crap to appease the fake. Even if that stupid reveal was remotely believable (and it isn't), he never showed the FL or his daughter even a fraction of the kindness. forgiveness and mercy he showed to his fiancee. He's still a deadbeat dad and the FL should've ended up with the SML as a happy family of three. That would've been a fitting ending.

I think it would be better if FL end up with 2ml afterall it's him who noticed FL didn't die and FL had chance to live again. And the 2ml loved the FL for decade. Knowing FL loved so much ml even after he sent her to mental hospital,never visited her, even never tried to know how she was doing, not believe her all these things and after knowing how he treat his own daughter, she need to just take her daughter and start a happy life. It's 2ml does everything for fl, find ml's sister make her guilty free and everything he does unconditionally (only wants fl like him back) and even pursued fl to follow her heart, he deserve better.
Me too! 2nd ML really showed his tender heart and gave willingly. When the ML disavowed his own daughter and allowed her to be humiliated and harmed, the 2nd ML picked up that precious little girl, kissed her boo boos, hugged her, and lovingly told her to call him dad. He never gave up on the FL or her daughter. He wanted them as his ready-made family. He defended them even against the ML. It's not who donates the sperm. It's who raises and cares for the child. Being a Daddy is a privilege, not a right! To all those REAL MEN out there who know the difference and still say those are THEIR kids, my respect and admiration go out to you. The ML deserved only to be an outsider to their happiness.
The writer must be a mental seek man with no principles, no moral, no affections, to choose that final. Even if ML couldn't visit FL in psychiatric institution, after that have many opportunities to act right, just and as a civilized person, like 2nd ML. So these end isn't correct. The child wouldn't be able to overcame the father house traumas so quick and easily. 😠😣

There is a reason behind why he sent the FL to the mental hospital however, why does that reason even matter? He left her in there, didn’t visit, could’ve cared less what was happening to her in there, could’ve cared less that she was suffering, didn’t bother coming till after she “died”; just because there was a reason behind why he sent her there doesn’t mean all should be forgiven let alone give him another chance. He was horrible father after the fact and he was horrible to the FL after the fact, even his mother, none of this screams love; he switched so damn quick, loving and caring, choosing the SFL over the FL, he should be responsible for his choice, love with it while FL goes off with her daughter and the SML. I was really hoping in this version that they would’ve put the FL with the SML in thee end while the ML lives in regret, a shame they didn’t chose it. I do like this version a bit more than the other one though.

After watching these short cdramas, my relationship with God has become stronger while I pray for a good husband and good in laws. I understand why fl has to forgive ml but why get back together. Guess its the curse of kindhearted people 'being slapped on right cheek then giving them the other cheek to slap again' And I fully support fl not dating 2ml cause she doesnt love him and she has issues that she needs to fix before dating someone properly. 2ml had a crush on her for the longest time and did not expect much from her despite the feelings he had. If she agrees to date him then she now has the responsibility of accepting and returning those feelings. In the end 2ml will become the male version of fl when she was married to ml which is not what I want for him. He deserves someone who is 100% in love with him and he also loves 100% not to be a pity bf or husband

I often wonder if Chinese drama writers are asked to specifically add mistresses, lots of abuse, torture etc to a relationship and have the FL forgive the ML at the end. That way, real Chinese women who are abused will forgive their man because they were only abused 'a little bit' in comparison to the dramas. Men are always winners at the end.
It's a lovely drama one misunderstanding can be fatal so sad . Anyway it's ok for a family to reunite but what the child went through and the tears can't b replaced in real life both mom and daughter where traumatized. Hope they get counselling and psychological help 😂😂😂😂😂 . Overall good drama
