What hits harder for me than that is when he's reading the "stuff we did" in the adventure book and he gets to "thanks for the adventure. Go have a new one!" That whole scene gets me more than the opening.

This was just cruel and unusual punishment. I've lost count of how many times I've seen Inside Out and that scene where Bing Bong sacrifices himself makes me cry every damn time. Same with Monsters Inc. when Sully has to leave Boo - just...waterworks everywhere. He was so heartbroken and she was heartbroken and *I* was heartbroken.😭😭😭😭😭😭

Finding nemo is basically Merlin's illusion. Nemo actually means no one/nothing/empty/none. He's finding no one which is sad because that's his coping mechanism upon losing his whole family until he met Dory which has a similar past like him.

If you ask me, watching a clip out of context and without the emotional work and build up from the rest of the movie, it's not gonna make you cry. This spits on the work and effort these writers and creatve teams put into these moments. They are earned in the full movie. They are not the same if you are watching a 30 clip. Especially if you have a camera stuck in your face waiting for you to cry.

For me more "crying" scene in the Inside out was the scene, when Raily came back home after her runaway and have her speech with parents. And in Coco the scene with Miguel and his grandmother was MUCH MORE "crying" and strong! + the scene where Miguel finds out that Hector is his grandfather

I've never seen the movie inside out, and the other day, I watched the same challenge but by someone else, they played Bing bong's death scene, and I just started sobbing on my bed.

In the scene I saw, bing bong and Riley playing doesn't show, instead it shows Bing bong fading away

The scene from toy story was sad but the moment that gets me is right before when the little girl reaches for Woody and Andy reflexively pulls back. He wasn't ready to let his friend go.
