I love how Izzy immediately took Noah under her wing as soon as she realized he needed some slight guidance. Such a wholesome pairing. Izzy is the sweetest hype girl.
We need a prison reform here in the USA. You look at prisons in Denmark and other European countries and they are actually made to help the prisoners get better as opposed to US prisons where they only want to punish you and make you feel terrible about yourself. I think we should make the prisons more humane because then we might actually see the numbers in criminals in the USA decrease as opposed to people who get out of prison commuting a crime again. Same goes for mental institutions in the USA, they aren’t meant to make the person feel better, they are meant to shame, disrespect, discourage, and dehumanize the people in there. There are plenty of people who went there and said the only thing the mental institutions in the USA do are make them better at lying and hiding things.
Absolutely right , I heard some Europeans Expatriates in US who indeed affirm that in US , for many Health issues, they tend to encourage surgery much more than Europe because it brings muchmore income to Hospitals and Doctors
No we don't You don't go to prison because you need to have a good time You go to prison because you did something wrong prison's fine the way it is If you don't want the to be in prison because of the way it is then don't do crime
@@OfficialDJTasawennateken Prison must have the role of Correctional facility too who help prisoners to be integrated into society again , beside being an institution that take out your freedom to move . NB , I am for the death penalty (but with the least possible pain which is decapitation (sorry but decapitation is nearly 0 pain compared to electrocution)) !
As someone from Norway, where our prisons focus on rehabilitating their inmates back into society, it's so shocking to see how these reactors react to this actually starting to happen in the US. I just hope that it happens fast!
For mirrors you would save the bag from your chips you get from commissary and they have a reflective inside, you take the bag and put it over a cup and hold it in place over the open end of a cup with a hair tie or thread from your blanket to turn it into a flat reflective surface, and that ladies and gentlemen....is your mirror! If you request a small book from the library you can also fold it over the front and hold it in place by closing the ends with the cover of the book. You see, I like to look my best no matter where I am lol.
It’s so important for those that are incarcerated to be able to stay in touch with their humanity. They may be in prison, but they’re still human beings. It’s cruel to treat them as less than that. Also it’s just smarter to help rehabilitate them, not make the situation worse and make recidivism more likely.
Right so you're telling us that if one of these prisoners murdered your whole family, they should still be treated and get stuff that they want? Because apparently it's cruel to treat them as less than humans? Ok then hahahahaha (does that go the same for child rapists as well?)
@@silentwolf6669 you choose to pick the worst options if you want, but if that individual is expected to reenter society, then yes you should treat them like human beings and try to rehabilitate than. I personally don’t think pedophiles can be rehabilitated, but some murderers can be. Do you see prison as punishment, revenge or an opportunity to rehabilitate aka change their behavior for their safety and societies safety. Also there are sooooo many people in prison for everything from weed to murder, to robbery, to DUI, theft etc… they are not all bad people, even if they did a bad thing.
If you say that, you also need to be vegan and against anything from fellow animals including testing, zoos and circuses and aquariums, breeders and pet shops, other forms of slavery human and otherwise… it’s not good to be a hypocrite (:
The difference between jail and prison: Jails are typically used to detain people awaiting trial or sentencing, and prisons house people who have been convicted of a crime.
Wow, interesting video! I did not know that about no makeup in prison. I mean it just never occurred to me that they would care about it since they are serving time. 🤷🏼♀️ The candy lips and deodorant eyeshadow/blush surprised me! 😮
I feel like they kept saying they didn't have a mirror, but at the same time, they were utilizing the best tool available....another person. Be it for feedback or to fix your makeup, as long as you have someone who you will help and they help you, your set. Eventually you will be able to do your makeup on your own after enough practice.
All this I allready knew :) But I really DONT understand why all prisons aint doing like in the end of the video. Let a few inmates, that are behaving well get a job as a makeup artist, or a hairdresser. Then the other inmates can see that if you behave, and is willing to learn you can. And on the other hand they dont have to use things that can be dangerous to their body, to feel pretty. I dont use makeup very often, BUT I totally gets it.
Jessica and Christine are two of my favorite RU-vidrs. Jessica especially is a huge advocate for woman's rights in prison. Like yeah they did something wrong, some worse than others but it doesn't make them less human and they should be treated better than they are in prison. If we treated them better and actually tried helping them there would be less in prison.
Interesting, I remember in JR high school the girl's sports teams would use blue Smarties (Canadian candy) to make their lips blue as that was our school colours.
