I am advanced learner myself and proficient in English. I gotta tell u that I particularly love your classes and the way you explain em’. You never sound rush and seem to enjoy while explaining. That’s what I greatly admire and love about your classes.
I relish watching your videos since I have learned myriad of words. This is absolutely a quintessential to watch if somebody wants to bolster their speaking and writing capacity. I am over the moon because bit by bit my confident is increasing dramatically.I would like to commend you sir by sharing all your nascent and unique words. Hat's off
Hi l'm Aya from lraq.l have been studying English going on two years .All honestly, your channel has been incredibly helpful for my English it helped me to improve both my rang of vocabulary and grammer as well as my Speaking skills. Thanks for everything that you're doing for English learners 😊
Oh wow I markedly learn plenty of words from your channel that you vigorously benefit me a lot, please don't cease recording this scope of videos ,😄✋ break a leg
Hi Wes. SO-CALLED was the adjective I enjoyed the most. "We still haven't reached the so-called herd immunity two years after the pandemic arrived. Even with vaccines available. What a pity!" Thank you!
Messed up = unhappy or emotionally upset = I've been messed up lately Something messed up=fucked up Cocky = showing confidence in an annoying way Woke = aware, especially of social problems like racism and inequality = everyone needs to be woke. That's why school should teach these things Ballsy = brave or determined =having the balls / guts to do something= he was very ballsy to do what he did yesterday Jaded = losing interest for something because you have experienced something too many times Moody =someone going from being happy to being unhappy Clingy =your girlfriend can be clingy Feisty (faisfi) = full of determination Ballin' = living a wealthy life spending tons of money=to be rollin' in money = she's making it rain = she's ballin' Kinky = unusual, strange and possibly exciting Cheeky = someone is rude or not showing respect in a funny way
Learning English is not to impress it is about being able to communicate. I mean it is important to learn advanced words just so you could specify what you really try to mean when you use the language but it is never trying to impress someone. A word alone has no substance in it, it is the message that matters.
Even though I'm fluent in English I don't mean I'm a cocky but sometimes I ALso encounter with a cumbersome problem and it's messed up but because of your dope video currently I am be able to speak or express my thoughts in English pensively and more affective than before. Even though I'm not a professional grammar user but I continue to keep my momentum and boost my moral on an English studying journey..
Thank you 🙏, I found out about your channel yesterday and signed up immediately. I saw most of adjectives you described in the video and it was hard to understand that. Now I know them thanks to your lesson
In the movie Forrest Gump , there is a scene in which Forrest meets with Jenny after many years and she tells him she was messed up for a long time -- this is also a perfect example of using this adjective !
My first time here on this channel.Would appreciate it very much if you could do a lesson on the use of correct prepositions in a sentence which I find most difficult in several languages🙄
Hi, Wes! Happy Saturday! I hope all is well with you and your family. I love to learn new things and your video has really lived up to it -- so dope! Thanks for your lessons, and I will be on the lookout for more videos from you. Till then, please stay safe and stay healthy. Cheers!
"so-called" is one of those adjectives that I see a whole lot, but I had a hard time understanding its usage. By the way, such a pretty dope lesson. Thanks, Wes.
@@nadiaal4307 yea in this sentence it's not correct to use such a + pretty. Because "pretty" is an adverb here. But when it's used as an adjective then u can use such a + pretty: ( like in this example) " Wow ! You' ve got such a pretty dress! 👗
Thank you so much sir this video is most help full for me because if you don't make that video i couldn't learn any thing keep on going thanks for chance learn some word and i enjoyed lot of that videos i am your also big fan ....
Hey Wes, thank you for the incredible lesson. I got to learn so many new words from your videos. You take great efforts to give us the best. You are an outstanding teacher. Thank you so much.
Thanks a lot Mr Wes...شكرا جزيلا. "Extol" worthy lesson as usual...Don't "scold" me for using your "borrowed " words. Should you do , I will "bemoan" facing injustice".Hat off .Mr wes .Nouredine
Very interesting vocabulary list, but as a native speaker of English, I have to say that some of it strikes me as a little slangy to be using in everyday speech. Aside from the slightly vulgar overtones of most slang, its real danger is that it tends to fall out of fashion fairly quickly as the culture changes over time. For example, the "groovy" slang of my youth (1960s and 1970s) elicits nothing but eyerolls today. That's why most English teachers generally avoid teaching it and caution their students to be very careful in adopting it.
I once heard that the vocab we use is highly influenced by the community we live in; therefore regional slang might be meaningful to a group of people and mean nothing or even the opposite to others. An NNS of English must double, triple, or quadruple his attention when entering these uncharted waters.
"Bloody hell, this Wes guy is cheeky, isn't he?" 😊 No, he's okay and he's putting out some dope vids that you can use to freshen up when you're jaded. ☺
I mostly knew all of these adjectives but my English is out of whack sometimes due to different sense of meaning - I believed that jaded is something of the old, passed by, like the rust on steel, relating to the past which will be no more.
It sounds good but I have problems remembering all these words. The first one is also known in German as "so-called--so genannt" and it is used in the same way. Nevertheless, You are a great teacher with clear pronunciation.
I've been working with Lingoda for years. I'm not actually teaching on there. I run my own speaking course from time to time. Getting ready to start one soon. bit.ly/Join_Speak_Up
Sir I have been facing a trouble in spoken English. When I write I atleast can make a gud piece of writing but the moment I have to speak.i an unable to weave gud sentences. Rather after few sentences I completely go blank what to speak next
How about teaching the distinction between adverbs and adjectives? It seems in 2022, half the world has never been taught what an "ly" ending is for! It is true baffling. :P
