I see you squatting a lot to wash, but one day you'll be old (like me!). I'm interested in your thoughts on stools and other aides for mobility. I have a Vyper stool, but not sure it's worth it. Also, it may bump into my car and scratch it. Just food for thought.
I'm somewhat freaking out right now. Yesterday, I took my new BMW in for its very first 1-year service. I forgot to tell them NOT to wash the car. Over the last 12 months, I have religiously followed Pan's videos and only washed the car by hand with all the recommend methods. Imagine my shock when I saw that the BMW dealer used one of those automatic car washes with big cloth strips. I feel traumatized and still can't look at the car to see if that did any damage. (edit: just went to my garage and looked really closely.... didn't seem to have any scratches that I could detect) 😭😭😭
My worst nightmare! Might be a little late, but I always put a "DO NOT WASH" hanger on the rear view mirror and also on the removable antenna on the roof. Hasn't let me down so far! Hope this helps in the future 🤞🏻
You need to call them and put it on file. That’s what my Lexus dealership did when I told them not to wash because it was ceramic coated. The service manager told me they made that mistake once and had to pay 1,500 to have a customers car paint corrected and recoated.
I purchased one of those ‘do not was this car’ signs for my rear view mirror. So far it’s worked, I think.. I just keep it in the glove box. Most car detailing companies stock such items.
DIY Detail Rinseless Wash. Yes. ❤ I pretty much solely do this for my weekly washes unless my car absolutely needs the pressure washer and cannon. Its faster, uses less water, and smells heavenly. Recently started using ADS Amplify as drying aid. Love it and DIY Ceramic Gloss but amplify is cheaper
I learned the hard way, with the super absorbent drying towels today, a drying aid is a necessity to prevent swirls with a hand wash, rinsless has some lubricity
Absolutely. I always tell my viewers to use a drying aid (quick detail spray) when using a microfiber drying towel, to avoid marring during the drying stage.
Hi Pan, Im currently using diy detail incredible suds but im thinking to switch to turtle wax slick n slide pure wash to lower my cost down a bit. Would you say it produces same amount of foam as DIY detail? and how many oz do I put for my foam canon for the turtle wax?
Thanks alot very informative, I am no enthusiast In any way, shape, or form, however would like to get into it for my own personal car, increases the value I recently heard... my car was in the shop, they broke the transmission line do paid for a rental, someone backed into it leaving a store, no dents at all but left massive scratches & paint run offs... luckily although a lot it wasn't under the paint layer for the most part, bought a cheap drill attachment off amazon $11 & turtle wax from O'Reilly (their suggestion for a small job) and a magic eraser to easily get the paint off & over a couple of days, I made it look like new between working, for only $20, & didn't take a insurance hit, didn't have my $50 deposit taken, so not counting the $20 flr supplies, I got $30 back in deposit, & thought it was a lot of fun for first experience, learned a lot, so looking into buying a more permanent kit, and quality buffer, & wax using quality wax, any suggestions not in the video would be appriciated, money wouldn't be an issue for a lot of this, thanks! Just was quite a fun experience when the panick of paying for it left me haha...
Can you also make a similar style video (budget/ advanced) for Car ceramic coating routines. Including the strip wash soaps, ceramic coatings, the polishers (DA/ROTATORY) , polishes... everything needed to complete the ceramic coating job. I'm sure it would help a lot of people myself included.
I already have a full tutorial here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-sqQYVjxFqK0.html Welcome to my channel. You discovered one of the biggest car detailing channels on RU-vid as we surpassed 990,000 subscribers and we have over 135 million views! I have been detailing for 27 years and I love to share my knowledge and passion with my viewers. You found the right channel to help you learn everything about detailing.
Thanks Jim!! It's a dream come true. Lots of blood, sweat and tears to get to this point of celebrating 1 million subscribers with my audience! What a ride these past 8 years have been since I started my channel in April 2016. And lots more surprises to come, including the unveiling of my new vehicle at the end of April! Stay tuned! :)
And, what if you received a car that hasnt been washed in years? That has all this dirt pasted and almost stained looking on the paint. And, obviously the rims are caked with brake dust and who knows what. The paint is also older. So, I really don’t want to break it down further.
Hi Pan, another great video as always, thanks for that btw. I don't know how much you want to test European brands, or if you even can get your hands on them, but if you decide to try some, I suggest 3 amazing brands Liquid Elements, Ewocar, ChemicalWorkz, and 3 more budget options AutoGlanz, ADBL and K2. I would love to see some quality reviews on these brands in comparison with your current best options.
Hi Pan, i recently bought my own dream car and i'm slowly falling into detailing world and you are great guidance. I also recently watched your video about how you bought your dream car. And I was wondering if you are already thinking about replacing it or if you are still going to keep it.
I am a novice DIY detailer. I understand that an IPA treatment is required before a ceramic or graphene coating. But what about sealants? Do you recommend an IPA-type treatment (Carpro Eraser} after polishing (Koch Chemie Fine Cut M302) and before the application of a sealant (Jescar Power Lock Ultra)? Thanks in advance for your advice.
Thanks Pan for that video. Very interesting like usual. I'm always learning something from you. Well done. I've been detailing cars for my pleasure for over 25 years now. There are a lot of this product that I already have & using. So, 2 questions for you; I'm using McKees 37 N914 rinseless wash for years, always excellent results, is there a difference with DIY rinseless wash? Samething with MTM PF22,2 foam cannon who was the reference before. Is Griot's garage one give you better results (handling, foam thickness). Thanks and keep up the good work!!! Frank
I think they simply went out of style as they didn’t really do much to keep the lineup fresh and modern, and no new innovations. The market is very competitive so people want more for their money nowadays. Welcome to my channel. Don't work in direct sunlight. Wash your car as late in the day as possible, or as early in the morning as possible. Avoid noon hours when the sun is at its hottest and brightest. Wait for an overcast day if possible, if you can only wash your car outside.
Good morning Pan. Great in depth video. Thanks for all you do. The weather is starting to warm up and all the beautiful classics will start coming out. Enjoy your weekend my friend.
I switched DarkSide with Fireball Tire (SiO2 Satin). Give me a little better sheen while not being too gloss. Then you can choose the Gloss version to be just like DarkSide or go with Janus which is crazy glossy.
While I’m here, I stand by my claim, you should test FireBall Pirouette, much better alternative than CarPro Reload in my opinion. I’ve seen better longevity with Saguenay winters, in the summer it gave me great gloss great performance, application is easier (don’t have to do 3 towel method like Reload alot of times) and feels like the beeding is tighter (now this is not side by side comparison so it could be the same beeding). Pirouette also has 31% SiO2 while Reload has 5% so it could be all because of that. Love the videos, keep it up 😊
Pre-Wash is LaboCosmetica Primus all the way👌🏼 And I use Primus 10:1 in a spray bottle as Bug remover. Can also go 5:1 but with a pressure washer and being foamed over after, it dwells on the bugs a very long time and works everytime for me.
Pan, thanks for elevating my detailing game by cutting through all the noise (sooo many products), and giving us just the facts and prodicts needed to make us keep detailing. Best, Costa
good evening pan, thanks to you I have reached this level and I have many of these tools and these chemicals, please I would like you to make a video for us about which paint sealant or wax attracts the least dust, I use graphene flex wax from turtle wax, in environments with little dust it works very well for me but in environments with a lot of dust it is a magnet, I think the best would be a ceramic but if you could make a video recommending which product to use that does not attract a lot of dust I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks for your videos, good night.
I wonder if the foam cannons you like when used with a p/washer would perform better when adapted to a garden hose connection? I already have the garden hose specific unit. It works ok with my 80 psi of water pressure, but always room for improvement. Great Videos Brother. 🙂
I have a car after a crash. On panels that had to be repainted my coating (Turtle FlexWax) does not stick - water turns not even into a sheet, but a puddle - no beading, no sheeting. On the rest of the car it looks like a ceramic caoating. I do everything like you instruct for prep, have seen your video a 100 times. What could be the cause/solution?
I have no idea. I barely understand your question. If you had your car repainted, first of all, you should NOT be applying any protection for at least 2 months. The paint needs to finish its out gassing stage. NEVER NEVER apply protection on freshly repainted panels.
@@PanTheOrganizer Basically on re-painted panels Flex Wax does not work. Prep was done correctly, as per your instructions. Re-painted panels had 4 months to cure after paint.
DIY rinseless is really great but the Adam's Hoseless wash is such an under rated product. Have not seen any reviews on them but it is surprisingly good. Curious to see if you could try it out and give your thoughts Pan.
I feel like you can maybe mention some of those pressure sprayers for those without a hose/free flowing water, like the IK manual pump ones or the newer battery operated ones. Thanks Pan as always for the great recs!
Pan, this is a great advanced starter kit. I love CarPro Reset and DIY Incredible Suds for car wash soaps. For foaming, I often use Incredible Suds, CarPro Lift and Adams Mega Foam. P&S Brakebuster is an incredible product - it is probably one of the top products that I am happy that you reviewed and recommended for all of us. CarPro Darkside is the best tire dressing - another top notch recommendation from you. The only product that I have yet to really find that consistently works is a drying aide. P&S Bead Maker is fine, but it does create a bit of dust. I have tried multiple products, but have yet to settle on one that I feel always works. Even the tools you have reviewed and recommended such as the Kranzle pressure washer, MJCC foam cannon, microfiber towels, etc. It is a pleasure to watch your videos as it personally has given me the confidence to buy and use the products. Can’t thank you enough for all of the entertainment and advice. Superb sir!

If you have dust issues with Bead Maker, try the Armour Detail Supply Amplify I spoke about in this video. Many of of my viewers with dust issues like it.
@@PanTheOrganizer is using a drying aid will make my towel hydrophobic? Im currently wash my drying towels 6cae washes once Im using turtlr wax flex graphene spray. Should i use different towel (cheaper smaller size not the gauntlet) to buff off the proruct?
I bought the gauntlet drying towel and I should have bought one long ago. They really work. I followed Pans videos and machine polished and ceramic coated my vehicle. It tool a long time. I went slow but you could do it if your car needs it.
@@PanTheOrganizer That makes sense, so when would you bring in a pre-wash. On a schedule or would you do it when the car is extra dirty, for example if it had bugs on it, or a bird had attempted to add to the paintwork? PS. Thanks so much for all your videos I really love all the content :)
After I wash and dry, I usually do a spray wax to add shine and protection. What would you recommend as a sort of sealant if your car is not ceramic coated? Please and thank you! Awesome video btw!

Hi Pam, I live in Dubai where the sun and heat are extreme, how can I prevent water mark on my car!? I wash my car outside under direct sun because I don’t have any other solution, I tried a sun shade but the heat would dry the foam and water quickly
The trick is to use a water deionizer system. That way you get a 100% mineral free water, and zero water spotting issues. See my setup in this video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-IKNL1chAQXY.htmlsi=osalOmPq7k1I8oRU
Unfortunately my e-mail is only for business purposes. @PanTheOrganizer thanks for replying. I was having trouble ordering cerakote ceramic coating for the detailing business. Wasn't getting any response from the Canadian dealers so thought of asking you about it. But, i got reply from cerakote themselves saying they have supply issue. Thanks again ✌️. I have been subscribed to you channel for over an year now and follow your steps as well.. thanks for the knowledge you provide. 😊
Pretty much all tire dressings contain silicones. They wouldn’t last more than a day or two if they didn’t have silicones. So you’re likely asking if it’s a water based dressing or solvent based. CarPro doesn’t say. But they do say it’s a polydimethylsiloxane formula (a silicone oil). So if I had to guess, it’s solvent based, as those tend to last way longer compared to water based dressings.
Man, I know that it might be a dumb question, but I really cant find abywhere what it is that you mean by marring the paint? Is that the little swirls that you can cause in the clear coat of car if you put too much pressure/drag dirt over paint? Or is it something else
Marring is the microscratches (that we call "love marks") that usually come from the hand wash stage or the towel drying stage. Basically anytime there's friction on the paint, you have a chance to leave behind microscratches if you don't use safe washing and drying methods. Good shampoos with great lubricity during the hand wash, and use a drying aid (quick detailer) when towel drying. The drying aid will act as a buffer/lubricant between the towel and the paint, thus reducing the chances of marring.
Hah Pan your right on time with this, my cousin is making his entry into the detailing world (a weekend warrior) with his Mercedes GLE AMG, and im sitting right now and making a ,,starter kit" for him on his birthday, our plan is to ceramic coat it - so far i bought him Work Stuff 2 buckets, Work Stuff King drying towel, Gyeon Smoothie Evo washmit, a bunch of Work Stuff brushes, Gyeon Restart Shampoo, DIY Detail Rinsless shampoo, Gyeon One Evo ceramic kit and a bunch of other stuff, hope he will be happy :) Thank You for your video, as usual a very informative one :) P.S i would buy more products that you recommend but some of them (The Rag Company, Microfiber Madness, Detail Factory) just are not available here in Poland :/
Hey Pan - Fellow 🇨🇦 here. Suggesting you give 3D GLW Series SiO2 Ceramic Matte Tire dressing a try. I’ve gone through many dressings over the years and evolved from the super gloss glaze types to graphene formulations and eventually settled into CarPro DarkSide for all the reasons you have. But I recently tried that 3D product. Amazing. Just slightly more on the matte spectrum than CarPro (which I actually prefer - really does look like a brand new tire). No slinging if allowed a bit of time to dry (like CarPro). Perhaps something to consider in a future video… eh? 😉 Cheers.
Impossible to say as there are too many factors that influence price. The amount of work needed, your budget, desired results, experience level of the detailer, quality of products used, and perhaps most importantly, location. Prices vary greatly from one country to another, even one state to another in the same country, and even from one city to another. Your best bet is to go see a reputable pro detailer near you and have him assess your vehicle. Welcome to my channel. Im goimg to be doing my sister in laws car here soon.....its never been really cleaned properly or protected. Im looking for what kind of pre wash foam thst mightvwork best. Any recommendations?
If you are going for a decon wash (with a heavier power alkaline snow foam), the best ones I have tested are these: bit.ly/3U8fVwz bit.ly/49K5kyu bit.ly/46kSh4I bit.ly/41Y6hke
Not really. Reset is more of a bucket wash product for coating maintenance, that you can use weekly. Active Foam is a higher pH snow foam for the pre-wash.

Incredimitt is really very good, but it is somewhat too large. For a milder shampoo than Reset I recommend Dodo juice Born to be Mild; also a high tier shampoo. Thanks for the detailed video Pan!
Great video Pan and all of these products are high quality products and I use some of these daily. W8 is still my bug remover of choice. I do a lot of rinseless with DIY rinseless but the other day I decided to try the MTM foam cannon with CarPro soap and it still works the same as day one. Thank you for a fun video!
Got my hands in the new Carpro Flat/spot. Haven't tested it yet but seems to be a good product. I know you will test it for the team as well pan ;) Cheers from Portugal
I'm steadily improve my skill but i was wondering if you gonna do an updated review of the turtle wax hybrid line new products or is the previous review still relevant? . thank you so much for all the knowledge you give us
I pretty much covered all the Turtle Wax Hybrid Solutions products at this point. Just search for “Turtle Wax Pan The Organizer” in the RU-vid search bar.
Im really confused on which wash mitts to buy. The microfiber chenille mitts or the cyclone wash mitts from the rag company. I really love the look of the cyclone ones but i just want to know which is better.
Hi I'm from Trindad and Tobago 🇹🇹 I enjoy all yoir videos am a part ome detailer , can you do a review on System X ceramic nano coating please , actually use products you more or less advice for use

I’d recommend some detail factory synthetic bristle brushes for the exterior wash. I use them to get in the body panel seams after my contact wash, before the final rinse. Good for cleaning grilles as well.

If ultimate build quality is your priority, the BOSS foam cannon wins hands down. If you prefer value and foam outpout, the MJJC Foam Cannon S V3 or Foam Cannon Pro V2 takes the win.
Haha that's correct. I have no use for it, as I have a proper foam cannon and pressure washer setup. The foam gun was just for a video to show viewers the difference between a foam gun and foam cannon. This video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-rJPk8nR8Ib0.htmlsi=ps1gF0jn1OEFHcBQ
I'm currently using ONR as pretreatment (switching to Absolute), Chemical Guys Diablo tire and wheel cleaner, Chemical Guys Bug and Tar remover, Adam's Mega Foam or Adams Shampoo (I prefer the Mega Foam scent), Gyeon Wet Coat for Wheels, P&S Bead Maker as drying aid, Chemical Guys Inner Clean quick detailer for interior (smells amazing), Griot's Leather 3-in-1 spray, Invisible Glass, Chemical Guys Tire Kicker. A mix of products I had already and some I bought because of this channel.
hey pan so I have a question, I just recently moved into a new home and it has well water witch is very hard water. is they anything you recommend on how to wash or what to use to not leave very hard watermarkes. thank you.
I would highly recommend that you get a simple water deionizer setup. No more hard water issues, as you'll get a spot free wash experience every time. Here's a video about my setup: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-IKNL1chAQXY.htmlsi=gsnQrH6Y5mVk4yia
