@@JamesJosephFinn I think both are great and while I don't have a strong preference to either, my main reason for using either option is dictated by the project. Currently I tend to switch between JetEngine and ACF depending on what the project needs. Ele Custom Skin Pro has recently been released and I believe there are some big plans to expand on what it can do. Excited to see how it pans out. 😁

Hello, Paul, how are you? Could you please do a video showing, more or less, the same method using "Search and Filter Pro" instead of "SearchWP and FacetWP"? If not, could you direct me to any tutorial to get this working? Tried many times and its getting me crazy, but I know that "Search and Filter Pro" can work as well... O M F G you done it. Luv the part at 7:12 done in speed, just imagine if we could build a website that fast, we'ed be millionaires... You are the only Storyteller who has done a full from start to finish video on this type of thing, others only do what they know but none done user submissions and payments. That's the aim Jason, to show the ENTIRE process and not just small portions. Is there more that could be covered? Absolutely, but if I tried to cover everything I'd never release a video again. lol There will be more tutorials on this type of website development and I will go into more detail with tools like FacetWP and WP User Frontend to cover things like accounts, editing, payment options, and so on. I'm also going to be demonstrating more tools for front end form submission, advanced forms, dynamic form content and way more stuff that goes above and beyond the basics of building a WordPress website. Hopefully that should keep us ALL busy.. ;0)

@@kcdrummaster Hi. Yes, the issue was not having the plugin FacetWP - Elementor. When you install it and clicked on the posts, there is a new option that says enable FacetWP. When you enable it, then it works. Try that and see how it goes.

This is a great video. I am currently working on a directory site and own both facetWP and WPUF and would love it if you did an in depth video on both of these plugins. I believe I will also be getting SearchWP. It seems like a great plugin. Something you might also want to know is setting the behavior in FacetWP to, I believe, expand the result set. I believe this will allow the person doing the search to select multiple options instead of just one for fselect and check boxes. Thanks again for a great tutorial.

Thanks for all the geat vids of you! I watched a lot of them in th recent time! I have a question: I'm looking for a plugin that allows visitors of the website to register first and then create your company within their account, which will then be displayed in the company directory. Within the profile the company can be edited and it should be possible to preview the result. Users who come to the site do not need to be logged in to see the companies. Additional features like rating, watchlist and company to claim for themselves would be great! Thanks for your help! Is it possible with Elementor Pro and ACF Fields Pro and a Membership Plugin?

This is awesome, thank you! However, quick question: We are building a directory and would like to bullet point / list services available at each organisation. Is there a way to dynamically for Elementor to change the organisation page according to the data? Ie: Counselling is available at organisation - so "chat" icon and word "counselling" appears? Then in our data we can list many different services, and if in csv file says "yes", then the system knows what to show? Similar to what Airbnb and hotel sites do, to show services at location. Also having an issue with, services near me search, but this question is already long enough lol Many thanks

I have FAQs set up as a custom post type. I want to display all faq posts on one page. (post title and post content … not excerpt… full content. I have tried all the techniques and plugins from your videos, but i am still going round in circles.) I understand how to do a single post page, but there must be a way to create an archive, gallery, etc with a full post content loop. I tried the short code method from your advanced accordion video. That didn't work either. I have ACF,CPTUI, EleCustomSkinFree, ElementorPro, JetEngine,& WP UltimateCSVImporter.

Great tut as always. It seems that ele custom skin pretty much renders Anywhere elementor Pro obsolete. I’ve been using the post block templates since before Elementor had their own. It’s been working fine but has some quirks when it comes to design and its kind of bloated considering what I use it for. I’m glad to see FacetWP works with Elementor as I had been looking at it for awhile. I’d love to see more in-depth tuts on that and WPUF. I had looked at WPUF as a form builder before but at the time I didn’t want to spend the money to get conditional logic. Seems like it would be worth it now.

Hi Paul, Great tutorial. I didn't relaise you could do so much with Elementor. I've followed along and created a directory site which works great except for one thing - in the search results page my grid doesn't have any spacing between each item like it does on the listing page. I noticed that yours is the same as well. Any idea how to fix this?

If you've created your own custom loop using Ele Custom Skin, just add some margins around the design and you'll get some additional space around the search results. I just did things quickly in the video to not waste time styling things. That should sort it all out for you :0)

@@WPTuts I created another loop in Ele Custom Skin and added some spacing to that and used that in my search archive template. For some reason there was spacing on the listings page but not in the search archive page. Worked a treat. Thanks Paul 👍🏼

This was a great tutorial thanks. I'm using a similar recipe: Blocksy, ACF, Formidable Forms, Generate Blocks, FacetWP. What do you think of that combo? One thing that's vexing right now is Generate Blocks isn't listing my custom fields in the dynamic content selector. However I am able to enter the id in the post meta field menu. I wonder if there's some way for it to load all my fields into the dropdown so I don't have to copy-paste.

I watched this tutorial because with JetSmatrtfilter the internal mechanisms and inter-relatedness of data (CPTs) and programming logic (filtering) was not clear. Hey Paul! How can we add like ten amenities a hotel can have, dynamically and display them inline or by default? I use ACF plugin and when I try to add the amenities that I have added to my business listings it shows me only the first one with a tick icon and all the others next to the first without an icon... Do I need to do it with CSS code? It shows me like below: ✔ WC, tv, balcony, patio, parking area, etc.... As you can see I want the tick (✔ ) to be displayed on each amenity separately!

ACF Pro seems to bug when it comes to URL and LINK fields. They do not come up in the Elementor Dynamic Tag key choices even to this date. Have you experienced this too?

Great video! But one serious flaw that I have found. I spent about 3-4 days full time trying to figure out why FacetWP would not work at all. Many plugin deletions, reinstalls, rebuilding facets, filter templates etc. Despite all this it would not work!!!! Turns out you not only need to install the FacetWP plugin, YOU ALSO NEED TO INSTALL THE FREE " FACETWP-ELEMENTOR " plugin to activate FacetWP on the page. 30 seconds to include this could have saved me about 30 hours.

Sorry you missed the requirement of FacetWP Elementor, but it was mentioned at 02:30 that you needed FacetWP AND FacetWP Elementor to work with Elementor.

@@WPTuts Thanks for replying. I guess I misunderstood and thought the Elementor FacetWP was a part of the FacetWP download and not a separate plugin. When I bought FscetWP, I do not remember seeing any reference to it on their web pages. Nor was not shown or used in the video. But it did need to be activated for FacetWP to work. I am a newbie to all the mechanics of actually building a website (although I have done a lot of content layout and creation), so maybe it was not as obvious to me as it might have been to someone else. Thanks for taking the time and making the effort to put these videos out. I know it is not a small thing to do. I enjoy watching and find them very useful.

Hello! I tried to create a loop with some business listings with elementor custom skin plugin, and define the related title in the first place. When the template first opened, this title appeared at the beginning of the template I created! How can I remove it and be invisible? I tried to hide it by going to bottom left and press the icon but it does not give a hide title option. In addition, for some reason when I edit the sections and columns I create, elementor shows me below the blank section (and above the footer), in preview, the loop template itself that I created, for 4 more times. 🤔😔 It's like shows you your template in your video, below of your design, again 4 times repeatedly in a row side by side. I have defined in settings of my column background image, repeat no repeat, but it keeps showing me this issue. Don't know why. Is this the way it should be or appear? :) Thanks for your time.

Hi, I am creating an ordering website for a restaurant. is there's a way to add an ACF that will be a checkbox with different options, but limit how many the website visitor can select? (ex. have a main dish that includes 2 side dishes, but show 5 options from where the client can only select two)

Very extensive tutorial. Actuality except for this taxonomies that you created here I am thinking about creating one more. One with the type of the cuisine that like restaurants can have. For example vegan, Greek, bio etc and then connect it with the available restaurants, huh? Can I also include all of these taxonomies and create filters making easy for a user to select the restaurant they love based on their predefined preferenced cuisine? Is that OK to create it with facet plugin? I think it will be OK :)

Brilliant tutorial - one of the better WP ones I have seen. One question, is it possible to use WP User Frontend Pro to allow registered users to create data that is associated with their user record?? USE CASE: Once a user has created an account and logged in I want them to be able to fill out a form that captures compliance data (e.g. they understand terms of service, they have no health issues etc). I need them to be able to see (but potentially not change the data) and at the back end I need to be able to see it in the context of their user record. I need this so I can find their user account and look at the details they completed (even of this was stored as a physical document. The idea is that rather than having a ton of paper which is essentially their membership form with the compliance data on it I want to just have their user account and a link to the compliance data. How to make the selected values of taxonomies display as the content in single template. I am building a site for group of institutions wherein each institute have different courses. So I created course taxonomy and created ACF field for it. But could not select these taxonomies as dynamic values for an institute while creating a single template. Please guide on this scenario

I think Taxonomies are a more logical way of organisation. But you can use whichever method you'd prefer. 👍

I need to show a page where the posts that are close to the location of a visitor are shown, I have a cpt with services and in them I have a location field, it is a field made with acf, so I want it to show all the posts but organized by those closest to the customer’s location, What plugin do you recommend for it?, do you have any video where you do something similar?

As always, an excellent and informative video, Paul - and excellently timed as I'm just about to begin working on a large project for a client that will involve literally everything you've demonstrated in your tutorial! Please go into further depth on Facets and User Front End. I think there's a lot that can be done with these plugins and understand you were only able to scratch the surface about them in this video.

I am designing a web for a local business association, and I have several custom posts types: businesses, posts (of the blog) and discount coupons. Each of them have a custom design (ele custom skin). The thing is that when a user search the web, I can´t show each of the elements with the custom skin. Do you know how to do this?

Great walkthrough of using ACF with some really great plugins. What can you do with this setup that couldn't be done with the Jet based video you did a while ago? What can't this setup do that the Jet based setup could do? ... When I see all that can be done with these custom field tools right inside Wordpress and Elementor... I am truly amazed. As I watch your videos I can't help remember what I had to do pre-Wordpress using PHP and MySQL to create a small fraction of what you can do. Weeks of work condensed down into a 1 hour video. WOW! I would love to see detailed videos on each of the plugins you used... knowing all what they can do may take the sting out of paying for them...

To be fair, a lot of what was covered in this video can be done with JetEngine. But, there is a larger user base for ACF and it's a more mature product. JetEngine still lacks front end form submission for any type of content. Hopefully they'll expand the current tool to be able to create and map any kind of data. I'd say that when it comes to the cost of any of the plugins used in this video, is that if you're doing a project like that covered here it would be a safe bet to say it would be s commercial site and the cost included. Just for personal use, you could certainly do a lot of it with JetEngine and a Crocoblock sub.. Great having many ways to achieve similar results. 😁

@@WPTuts thanks for the feedback. It sounds like ACF is the way to go ... at least for now. I definitely would prefer to focus on learning one technology stack. Seeing your reviews of the addons plugins you used in this video will go a long way to me being able to establish a VERY powerful (and flexible) set of capabilities.

@@24SevenMarketing once you get comfortable with the principles of custom post types, custom fields, taxonomies, etc., using any of the popular tools becomes a lot easier. Each has a learning curve, but your supplimenting that with an understanding of the core principles. So, swapping between the likes of ACF and JetEngine becomes a lot easier. 👍

I actually had to reference on of them this week to understand JetElements Post Query parameters that I could not find the answer to on their website {{OOPS}}. "NOW" was what I needed to find all posts greater than or equal to today's date. I do hope that you could do a video on querying posts as a deep dive with examples. Thanks again!! Your ROCK!!

Great to see that the older video helped out with your JetEngine queries. You could also use TODAY instead of now to query by the date as opposed to date and time with NOW. Always handy to have a couple of ways to achieve the same results. 😎

Hi there, im struggling with something to create a custom home page that displays some information about the logged in user with both Elementor Pro and ACF Pro, the thing is that I am adding ACF to a specific user roles and I want that a single page (the home page) displays the custom field depending on the user, for example if the custom field is favorite color i can show the favorite color of the user in the home page, but it does not display anything, can you help me out?

Very extensive tutorial!! I think that it is possible to add a contact form via WP User Frontend Pro If we want our visitors to contact with (i.e.. the hotel listing owners) Is that possible? Or can we add the integrated contact form that elementor pro gives us? Wha do you think will work better?

It can be done but I've not actually done it myself. Awesome tutorial, too bad I discovered this after wasting a lot of time and money buying customisng plugins for WP Job Manager. Is there any reason you have no affiliate links to the paid plugins used in the tutorial? I'll be buying Elementor Pro through your links and would like to do the same with the plugins.

Sorry to hear you've had a poor experience with the job manager plugin. The links in the description should be affiliated where possible. Not all the plugin companies offer the option though.

Hi is there is way to insert acf fields inside the content of a text editor i.e Paragraph . Here is an example ----- Hi My Name is [value from acf field] and my age is [ value from acf fields]. Like we use variables in common.
