What's up Coach! I have been watching your instructionals every night after class, and I've got to say in the past 2 months or so my game has improved tremendously. Despite being in the 140lb range, I am now one of the better white belts at my gym, which is full of killers. My instructors recently gave me my 3rd stripe which I am so honored and thrilled about. Just wanted to say a huge thank you, (and brag a little bit as well :)) its not just your grappling knowledge but the way you deliver the message is so clear and precise, I can't imagine the quality of instruction your actual students get! Keep up the amazing work and hope you had a great 4th!

This has blown my mind... I am currently working on the overhook from guard, you have given more things to add. I like the Lotta Bit series, will start to implement that as it looks very useful... and I often myself attempting scissor sweep but not hitting it, now I have options. This has me excited... thank you so much ! Your side control escape series has helped me.. this will be a nice add. Can't thank you enough.
Another great instructional. I have been doing the overhook system since I learned it at Master Dalla's but I did not remember (or learn) the far side armbar. The scorpion variation is helpful as well. Excellent! Thanks again.
The good news is the videos will be here for you any time you need them! So no need to keep up with the weekly releases until you are ready for them! Please share us with all of your BJJ friends as well!
Marvin - I'm giving you a curriculum and framework you can have a solid game with and then a reference point for anything else you learn and want to incorporate with your game. Please don't forget to subscribe and all the curriculum can be found organized by position on BJJcurriculum.com Thanks! Coach Doug
What's up professor? Toby, from Rogue Wave in Yuma AZ. Just wanted to let you know how helpful these videos have been. I have been having a lot of success experimenting with the overhook on my own and now that i found this, I am fine tuning everything. When are you guys coming back to AZ?
Thanks Justin!! -- hope you are sharing us with your BJJ friends! You can also follow and share us on FB:facebook.com/bjjcurriculum/ and on IG: instagram.com/bjjcurriculum/
Coach Doug Thank you for taking the time to put this curriculum together for the jiu jitsu community at no cost to us. I visited your website. www.bjjcuriculum.com It is currently down sorry to hear that you are dealing with a pos hacker.... I really enjoy your RU-vid channel. I always pick up something from every video I study. If I'm ever passing through Virginia I'm stopping by!
aMIRacana, nice one! I'd love to see more details on the Mir lock, I've been working on it as part of the overhook series but haven't pulled it off while rolling yet. Roy Dean posted stuff on the overhook from guard a while back, your videos are pretty good too. I 've been working on this to counter younger, more athletic guys.
Oliver - glad you caught my word play. The AMiracana has to go on quick as he is trying to insist on the underhook, even though you are making space. Because there is so much space, he may try to pull it straight out or dive back into the underhook to defend. Its not something you can always depend on due to the space, but work with it and develop your feel for 1. Where the elbow is and 2. Keeping his arm bent, and it will become a threat to anybody who insists on the underhook. One other tip - the better you can stretch his base out with a foot in the hip or something along those lines, the more success you will see.
Thanks, good stuff. My rolling partners usually manage to pull their arm out, I feel there's something I'm missing to keep their elbow bent and their posture broken until I can get the tap. Some people advise on using a gable grip, I gotta work this one more.
