That Little Tutorial Made So Much Sense And Is In My Wheelhouse - I Am Naturally Confused By My 3rds And Have Dance Around Between The 3rd On One String And The 3rd On Just The Second String - But This Sounds Ideal And I Love That 3 Note Exercise - What A Sound!!! Totally Stoked Right Now - Thank You Go Team Human, Cheers

great stuff :).. I see the pentatonic (starting on minor pentatonic as 1) as the the 1 and 3 being the same shape, rotated 180 degrees (on four string bass), and shapes 4 and 5 being the same shape rotated 180 degrees.. 4 and 5 fit together like locking puzzle pieces.. 1 and 3 are linked together by the major pentatonic (shape 2).. thus creating two large compound shapes which perpetually leap frog over each other.. one always book ends the other and vice versa.. thank you again for continuing to share excellent knowledge :)

Thanks for yet another cool dive into pentatonics, Rich - and happy holidays! When sax players do that (the 3rd-3rd or 6th-6th as in your example) it is called "false fingering"... is there a similar terminology for bass?
@richbrownbass

Thank you, Jeorg. I don't know if there's a term for this on bass. Let's make one up! LOL!
