With Stardust, just a particle grid with an opacity map.

Thank you for this great tutorial! I am a newbie with C4D, I usually use Blender, and I have a problem with the cloner on C4D, it seems that it is not working. Except for the first light, when I add the cloner it adds dots that don't look like lights ... And after that when I drag "sphere" to "object", the lights disappear ...? Is there a parameter to adjust in the preferences of the software? Thanks for your help

Following yor tutor trying to achieve similar effect as in your footage in the beginning. But beside those beams made with Plexus, there are some curved lines there, starting from outer points and going somewhere beyond the sphere. Are they also made with Plexus?

Yes, just set the beams to "curved" instead of "straight".

i tried render this cool animation with bodymovin and it doesn't work, everything is black in the result,is that becasue of the obj file or plexus plugin ? i wonder is there any way i can export it to a json or rive animation

Generally Plexus works with OBJ sequences. You just have to setup your source correctly. Then it should work. I have experience with json and rive. Ask doctor google :)

These are watermarks of the Plexus trial version. You need to buy a license.

When I "Merge objects" like in 9:39 . File open without lights, only null object are there. Settings are the same. C4D R23

You must have missed something along the way. Maybe check the cloner settings that it´s not set to render or multi instances or during the fbx export.

@@graphicINmotion Oh, i found what is this, i had metaball and polygon reduction instead sphere. When I converted everything to primitive, everything began to work. Thnks

Please can anyone help me? I am not sure what I am doing wrong. Everything seems to be fine until the part where I need to export the cloner. I have all the lights as in the tutorial but, when I import the exported cloner, I have only three lights, there are no other lights. Does anyone know why is it so? Thank you!

Check the fbx export settings. Maybe you overlooked a setting.

@@graphicINmotion Checked numerous times and still the same. Lights checked, Selection only checked, Tracks checked, Bake All Frames checked. The only thing that is not the same as in your tutorial is in Geometry section. In my version of Cinema 4d I can't uncheck Subdivision Surface, instead of that, I can choose from the menu Generator (which is now) Cage only or Baked...

@@DavidovicB that sounds alright. Difficult to analyze. Maybe something changed in C4D. You could try to just bake the lights without fbx export. Just bake all light layers and import the C4D file to AE and extract the scene data.
