Thank you Kyler! I love that you know what you're talking about and don't waste time. Nothing worse than needing to know something you have spent forever trying to do and then need to watch a tutorial and it's filled with no information and a bunch of "ummm's" and "well I think let me try this"
Very informative! A couple of tutorials like this and I'll soon be an After effects pro! I'm a beginner editor and such tutorials really help me have some edge at work. Thanks.
Speedramps are just so integrated in my Videos. Couldn’t even imagine how a video would look like without 😁 Really nice on depth insides Kyler. you are still one of my favs !!
I can see this as a really clever way of doing a stylistic jump cut for montage scenes that utilize a contiguous shot during production. We had a short film concept that would fit this editorial style perfectly, where a montage is shot following the main actor through several locations in one contiguous shot delivering items. Of course, it doesn't actually have to be shot continuously, but using these ramps can help hide those jumps.
Absolutely loved it! I was looking for this effect for a while, and you even added in how to transition and the benefits of the position graph. Thank you so much!
Exactly what I needed! Been speed ramping in Premiere Pro CC and personally think it looks like crap compared to Final Cut Pro. I’m going to give this a try this weekend with some of my drone clips. This looks closer to what Final Cut is doing. It’s an obvious difference in my opinion. Thanks again! 👀🤙🤙😎
It gets tricky using AE for this when you have a 20-minute movie and a lot of ramps that you want to include. I wish AE could handle a full movie timeline.
Thanks for the video! I'm trying to do it again, but after clicking on enable time remapping only one keyframe appears, the first one ((( Why can this be?
@@Unvergessable Okay so I usually have clips put together in Premiere with music and soundfx underneath it. Now I wanna add a smooth speed ramp between two clips to have a nice transition with the sound. So I take the two clips and replace them with AE Composition. But now I lose the sound to it and it makes it hard to get the transition right. I hope you get what I mean haha, but I'm sure there is something I'm missing, how would you do it?
@@lorenzcinema Yeah, I find that doing dynamic links in a later state of editing in prem pro a bit frustrating so I try to do as much as possible in after effects in early stage of editing. I like to make my rough cuts in premiere pro and bring the whole sequence over in AE to add speed ramps and transitions to the music. I than bring it all back to prem pro to add foleys and color correct/ grade. Hope this helps
This would have been better if you showed a real example of someone editing in premiere, needing to do a speedramp, moving the work into AE, doing the work, then going back to premiere.
I can't run After Effects on my PC. Can you make tutorial how to do it on Premiere Pro :-) And it's not like I don't want AE tutorials I love them but it would be great if there's a Premiere Pro tut too :D
Only clickbait for Skillshare!!!!! „Advanced“ !!!!????? What!!!!?? I make this in FCPX in under 5 minutes!!!!!!! Nothing is advanced here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
