Dense pufts are a passive way to create oxylite from excess oxygen your electrolysers are producing over a long period of time, and without spending gold. Refinery is more efficient and much faster, but you don't really waste anything on dense pufts, and you gain a bit of oxylite and a bit of meat. As with everything in this game, it's just an option, and it's pleasant to have options.

I would say the best part of the option to make oxylite with pufts is they require no energy and also put off no heat.

Also dense puffs are useful if you don't have much gold, which sometimes happens on some maps.

Gold falls from the sky! True, you could be blessed with very little gold, no gold volcano's, and have to use dense pufts. Honestly if you have a surplus of oxygen they are fairly good at compressing it, into large chunks you can then transport into new work zones, so they have their uses.

Info is a little off. You can influence what Puft eggs you get via a Puft prince. The Puft egg produced is heavily influenced by what gas the parent digests. Naturally, since the Puft Prince is the only Puft that can digest Oxygen, Polluted Oxygen, and Chlorine, you can influence what ever type of egg you want by caging a Puft Prince in the correct gaseous environment for enough time.

Huh...I tried searching for a way to wrangle pufts and this is like the first result and this doesn't even tell me how to wrangle pufts. And I can see in the title it's already the advanced guide. I tried looking in the forums and they say something about auto wrangling but it didn't work when I tried it. Ahh well I guess I just have to figure it out for myself.

Wrangling wasn't a option when this video was made, but to save you some more googling, you can place lures to attract them from one area to another. But the lures don't really work well, this is why you wont find a video. Most people start a puff ranch from a few wild eggs and go forth from there

Isn't it much more effective to just convert the polluted O2 with deodorizers and feed your Dupes with BBQ from hatches (or late game: from Shovevoles)?

Maybe, but this is a option to make slime for mushrooms, (some dupes might be vegetarians you know)

Hi, i have a problem with the slime (Limo in Spansh), the Puft drop 46.5 kg by cycle, the prince 3kg by cycle. i use that for fongus plant (champignon), when the LIMO is in the map is always 175 kgs for example, but, if i dig the material, this material drops down very fast 174kgs - 173 kgs - 172 kgs, etc etc. I make a box for Puffs and try to recolect the material (the poo of the Puffs), but this material (limo or slime) desappear too fast. I try to put in refrigerator, in refrigerator in the ice, i hit -20 grades Celcius, but is the same. Is any way to avoid this? Thanks

The Slime off gases the only way to stop it is make sure the room air pressure is above 1.8kg OR put it into a pool of water

So how do I wrangle one of these Puffs? I have a dupe with Critter Ranching II and the hat selected. A critter dropoff point with Puffs selected. My region with polluted oxygen has been closed off with a water lock. I got a Puf with a care package, must I remove my water lock?
