I disagree with your view related to Siraj pdogg..Siraj is not a wicket taking bowler of late if you notice carefully..He struggles a lot in indian pitches..The last time i saw him Bowling well was in south africa 1 year before..After that He picks heaps of wickets only if the opponent is srilanka..Siraj maybe good in sena conditions but he is not a wicket taking bowler in Indian condition..Akash deep has shown a lot of promise with his pace and swing & it's good to watch him bowl
it is a same case with all fast bowlers in India, they play second fiddle to Spinners in India... only Bumrah is an exception and Shami is 4 innings.....

No rocket science in Sundar selection. They wanted to strengthen the batting. Axar can't play as they have 5 left handers. So it has to be Sundar. Also they had little faith in Sundar in the 2nd session. Tried all bowlers including the pacers, nothing worked and hence brought Sundar just before Tea. So neither an intelligent selection nor the captain needs appreciation. It's just that he bowled well. So credit to Sundar alone and no one else.
I know most comments are torching Pdogg and the indian team, but the most important question is- In general why are the players in such a hurry to attack the NZ spin bowling? I'm surprised that once Kohli departed, the middle order has not had the notion to bat out the session and control the situation by surviving. For god's sake, there are 5 DAYS!!! Even if one batsman scores a sluggish 40 in 200 balls also it would have neutralized the momentum. The conditions may either improve or remain static if the pitch behaves badly. Cheteshwar Pujara's absence is being seriously felt in Indian team. The way the batsmen were getting LBW'd was out of poor incompatible strategies to counter the spin. A solid defender who has the role like Pujara or Dravid is just out of the ballpark for the current indian team. Now we finally understand how important it is to support a player who walls the opposition and bats for time/guarding wickets and not for runs.
In Sri Lanka series , M Santnar was not good enough to vary his line and length he struggled but in India , today, it was so beautiful to see him , He deserves this . Remember this is his second 5 wickets haul in overall first class career.❤ Hope NZ win this series ❤

Pdogg you are right by carefully saying you don’t want to underestimate kiwi spinners but at the same time you are biased in not accepting that in pitch aiding spin, any ordinary spinnners can run through the line up including your favorite RCB player 🙂.
