It sounds mad but Conway might even go at base price at the auction. He is not a typical flashy opener. He is a CSK type of player. Even if few teams are interested, CSK will buy him back at max 5 crores.

@@gokulr5944 Conway is consistent player but in auction players like Salt will fetch more money than conway. So a max of 5 to 6 cr is good for conway and I don't think we can get him in base price. Rachin at may he 7 to 9 crs. If pant in auction 20Crs. So 5 retention plus 3 players will reduce the purse amount to 20 crs. 20 crs is a little less for another 12 players but your core players are strong so this could be the plan.

How CSK will get both Conway & Rachin will be interesting. The way the NZ test series has gone, Rachin is worth 14 crores as hes young, technically sound and can bowl as well

My Retention: 18Cr Jadeja 14Cr rutu 11 Cr Dube 4Cr Dhoni 4Cr Rizwi Rtm Pathirana / Rachin ( Buy from auction whichever comes later) Buy Conway from auction This is more realistic, Rizwi is emerging indian player in middle order, He will go for 7+ Crs in auction better retain him and dube as Dube is power hitter which is must needed for CSK for spinning conditions on chennai. Pathirana n Rachin can be bought for around 10 Crs, Conway for 7-8 Crs. Core is more Strong like thi way.
