My name is Alexander. I am a mechanic.
Today we continue working with overlock sewing machines.
Last time I told you about household overlocks, and today I’ll tell you about the advantages of industrial ones.
I’ll show you how to clean and oil it.
There’s a sign in some industrial sewing machines which points which details to oil.
The cord is the most important thing to be oiled both in industrial and household machines.
Oil it every day before working. Not when you go home, but before you start stitching.
A machine should be cleaned regularly, the more often, the better. Undo a needle plate at least once a week.
It doesn’t take long to clean a machine, but it will operate much longer if you do it properly.
I recommended you to choose the option N in household machine, and I recommend option 2 in this one.
Oil level should be not less than minimum. I hope that it will be easier for you to make a choice now.
My name is Alexander.

This was pretty helpful, I like how you do things. Is there a link to the disadvantages video? I’m considering a purchase of a serger. Could you show is there different types of stitches sergers can make & compare to a coverstitch machine.

The overlock is configured for each fabric separately. You can look in the machine's manual. Or call a master sewing machine adjuster

Take note of the way you remove the previous one. Loose the nut that hold the needle half way and place the new one. Tight it back

@@GlobalFashionWorkshop - this answer is annoying because you NEED to know the bad side as well as the good ones - therefore it is not true.
