We all love and miss you Melanie ✝️. I was so tearful to see that you tube recommended this video. We never missed one of your beautiful tutorials 🧵. We know you are in a better place with no pain looking after your beautiful children and adoring Husband. Sending love and hugs to an Angel for Christmas 🎄❤️✝️🇺🇸
Thank you so much for this very thorough but still easy to follow tutorial. I just finished mine, I chose a grey canvas sort of looking background, the pockets I made of grey checkered flanell, lumber jack style, since I‘m going to give it to my boyfriend. For the numbers, I made ITH thingies out of felt (christmas 🌲 trees, foxes 🦊 and owls 🦉), to add some colors. I really enjoyed making this, and I‘ve been already asked if I could do some more for my friend‘s kids. I wish you and your family a happy season, thanks for sharing, from Germany 🇩🇪
Superb use of getting the most out of one fabric for all of the pockets. I plan to make one in the future, I'll use your technique. Very classy and simple; thanks for the video.
Thank you for this! My amazon order for an advent calendar just got cancelled and I have to think of something in a day before the workweek. Luckily I have all of the materials at home - and this will be made in a jiffy - thanks to you!
So, I forgot to post it earlier, but I went to the store the following day you posted the video and magic happened 🎄✨ Thank you for this cute and fun project. The girls were very happy and exited about their calendars.
Thank you Melanie for creating this video ! Your instructions are perfectly clear and inspiring 🤩. I’ll be making a couple of these for my family. Love this project ! 👌😍
Thank you for this! 🙌 I was shocked/bummed at how difficult it's been to find a simple, yet thorough, Advent calendar tutorial the past couple days that I've looked. I found a style that was exactly what I love but no tutorial. So glad I searched RU-vid and found ya! 😁 I'm thinking of using duck cloth/cotton canvas for my background with black and grey plaids and prints. 😍 We're gonna go check out JoAnn's flannel sale tomorrow so I may choose something totally different. Thanks again for making this! 😘❤️
Thank you, Melanie! This is an excellent tutorial! Just hope I can get it sewn and ready before December gets here :-) So glad you're back providing us with new project ideas!!
So glad you did this tutorial as I am so fed up doing the standard advent panels. Love the background fabric with the quilted effect. Have you ever found the shapes have curled/peeled away from the background fabric once fused? X
Hi Melanie, I loved your tutorial and I am making four Advent calendars for my grandchildren. My will not look as professional as yours. I did not have quilted fabric, so I quilted two pieces of fabric and batting together. It was not easy since I made it the first time. I would like to get help with the dowel size. What whould be the thickness?
Fantastic tutorial! I'm newer to sewing and the level you taught this at is PERFECT. new subscriber! Looking forward to also checking out the blog. Thank you
3 years later and I’m just seeing this 😕… Even though it’s already December I’m still going to make this 😊. I hope you’re well and doing ok.. Thank you 🙏💖
