Got this tent today. The downfall is trying to tuck the sides down when closing it. But I still love it! Beddings can't be stored in here. No room. We tested this by the lake where the wind hit 42km / hr, and it stayed up well all night! Kept us warm.
Really? Can’t even pack it up with a doona or a couple of sleeping bags? Most RTT have space for this. I’m interested in this tent but not if bedding can’t pack away in it.
I had put a king's premium sleeping bag in (sleeping bag was opened flat), and we couldn't close it. Though the mattress in here was uncomfortable, we bought a queen-size self inflatable mattress from 4WD and it fitted perfectly.
Wow! This Adventure Kings Tourer X Side-Opening Rooftop Tent is pure luxury! It looks like the perfect way to turn camping into a multi-room hotel. Can't wait to try it out!
We use a kitchen spatula to push the sides in when the shell is partially closed. Do remember to not leave it on the car roof however, we are on our third spatula 😊
Owners are reporting they can’t pack up this tent with just one sleeping bag (open and out flat). So I don’t think you’d be able to put a thicker mattress in it. I got in one of these in store - very uncomfortable.
@@tbduggan85 i have 2 matters stacked one memory foam in a old motohome brand fiberglass clam shell wind up camper so think i respray the gell coat fix it up cavavas not not bad had one repair
Is the tourer x still designed to open to the side when fitted to a kings tub rack ? I have this setup and the ladder faces off the rear of the car lol
Hi there, Sheets and the mattress should be fine to keep in there, but we would recommend taking out the pillows and doona as this can prevent it from properly closing. Regards, Courtney
