It’s a great ride and thanks for the comment! Above 32 is more relaxed riding and below 32 is a bit more technical depending on how recently it rained. Good luck on the ride!

Good video and adventure. I was in the process of mapping an adventure route through the Shawnee Forest for the coming riding 2023 season. I searched RU-vid and found your video. Very cool. It seems that the SOAL loop is an adventure in itself. If Greenfield is 12:00 on the clock should I journey counterclockwise or clockwise on the loop. I just plan on riding the SOAL loop not the offshoots, unless I have the time. I'll ride the loop on a 250cc dual-sport. Thanks for making the video I'm a decent rider.

Thanks for the kind words! The loop is a lot of fun and very doable on smaller or bigger bikes. If you haven’t already checked out the thread on ADV rider I’d recommend taking a look at that for more details. There’s also a Facebook group for the route that has regular updates for road closures and conditions.

I had two close calls leading up to there but with a little luck I was able to save it each time. I just chalked it up to a learning lesson 👍

Jonathan is there any way to get a gps track of that ride. I am from up in the Toledo area and have a limited time to ride so it would be cool to have a track like that so we could just come down and ride without trying to find a good ride all weekend. Thanks

Ive rode the southern part of this a couple times, south of st rt 125 could be some more decent forest service gravel that could add to it very easily. Always a good day trip thank for Sharing.

We wanted to ride it down to 52 but ran out of time. Next time we return we’ll start on the eastern potion south of 32 and work our way back to 125. Thanks for the comment!
