If you install at least one sway bar your handling will improve. My rig was an original 84’ 4x4 but I did a 89’-95’ cab and bed swap. 3” lift up front with a land cruiser high pinion third member and a set of 5.29’s. Stock 22r converted to efi, w56 transmission, stock gear driven tcase with the low range gear swap, Chevy 63” springs resting on top of a 2004 Tacoma elocker rear end and of course 5.29 gear set. Topped the bed off with a canopy for camping.
FYI you mentioned you wanted to put 4runner seats in the truck. I had the 2/3 bench like you and switched to the the fully adjustable buckets from a 4runner in my 89 pickup and only 3 of the 4 bolt holes line up. Don't know if that's the case with every year, but would probably try and find buckets from an actual pickup.
Cool deal. From Houston have same year truck. Mine has 247k no head gasket. Same 5 speed and motor. Change oil every 3000 miles and will last a long time.
Ever considered removing the body lift? That thing is sky high and lowering the CG could help. Tire clearance def not an issue lol. Sick rig either way though!
Great video once again dude. I love your truck. I have an 85 SR5 long bed pickup up here in Washington State, and I’m always watching your videos for ideas. If you’re really looking into upgrading your seats for something more comfortable just get the Corbeau Baja seats, they are super comfy, look great and will last a little longer than some used 4runner seats.

Really like the pickup man. Looks sweet w the solid axle! I was wondering where that TG rear bumper bolts up. I have a REESE tow hitch and dont want to sacrifice my towing capability for a bumper. Let me know when you get a chance!
