I was just at my neighbor's house and he has a whole truck, commercial truck size, of unopened Star Wars, Star Trek, etc.....he was raised by his grandparents who were born in the late 1800's and collects tons of "junk", has about 5 houses falling down around here, but Many old cars he and his friend restores....he especially loves his early 1930 cars because of their rarity-Depression-and he buys and sells old cars tractors, etc...He actually was on the American Pickers show many years ago....he and his wife help me all of the time (my husband died many years ago) he fixes my mower, etc....very big heart....were are in Oklahoma.....he's getting ready to sell his farmland that he and his grandparents grew up on with no electricity, eetc.....quite a character....

I like watching your channel, especially when you visit your siblings. My youngest daughter grew up knowing her sisters by another Mom. Then many years later they found another sister. ( I don't like the half thing. They're sisters) She lives in another state but they get together. I love them all, and am so happy they know each other.

That press can be used to press lard or make apple cider, or with the right attachment, fill sausage casing. My Dad has the one that belonged to his granddad and we got it all cleaned up and used it to make apple cider last year. First time that it had been used in about 80 years. They are still manufactured.

Regarding the ADCO clock. 2007 SEDALIA, Mo. - One of the drycleaning industry’s oldest companies, Adco Inc., revealed this morning that it has been sold. Kansas City-based Mentor Partners assumed ownership of Adco on April 13 for an undisclosed sum.Launched as American Disinfecting Co. in 1908, Adco Inc. is a worldwide leader in research and development, manufacturing, and distribution of chemical products for the drycleaning and laundry trades. Until the sale, Adco was owned and operated from its Sedalia, Mo., home continuously by three generations of the Van Dyne family.Adco courted buyers wishing to run the company much as it has been for 99 years.

It's amazing ... I know it was quite a (good) shock for you to find out you had sibs ... but for THEM, it must've been mind-blowing!!! All the newly discovered family seem so lovely - you can never have too many good people in your life. In one of my DNA results I found a second cousin who had NO idea who any of his bio family was. We can't figure out who his biological parents were. He's a really great guy and I've been enjoying interacting with him.

Have you seen Red Rocks outside of Denver? Beautiful place, complete with dinosaurs footprints and the world’s only acoustically perfect outdoor amphitheater. Museums cover the unique geology, building the amphitheater with Roosevelt’s Civilian Conservation Corps, and musical history of the great acts that performed there. Well worth a visit and maybe catch a concert.

As we know I've always loved watching your videos. I grew up in the midwest so just an FYI when those Sirens go off at lunch time it's because they're testing them because they use them for when there's a tornado warning. If you're there and they're going off for an extended period of time, like more than 60 seconds, that means there's a tornado warning you should probably try to find shelter! Hahaha glad you had fun visiting your brother and sister

Interesting tidbit: apparently Sarah Winchester invented the "Stair Dust Corners" that you pointed out on the old staircase (that make sweeping the stairs easier). That's one of the few things I remember from a tour at the Winchester Mystery House. Apparently, she was quite the little inventor. Thanks for another fun shopping trip, Alex!

Love your adventures. I live in Manitoba and getting ready to have an antique estate sale of items on our 150 year old homestead. Just going through the old barn now.I have turned an old log cabin home into a little store as I needed a place to sell all the things so it can be locked up. I have buildings of stuff to sell. I found some great finds but I now live in Colorado and have no use for the stuff that has been saved over the generations. You should come and take a look.

I love Florence all the antique shops there. Glad that you found your siblings and family too. There was quite a bit of stuff that happened back in the 50-60s that people are not very proud of and have tried to forget. Stuff happened back then the beginning of a new era in the world. Have a great day and safe travels

I grew up with "car guys," my dad and his brothers ... my brothers were big on cars as well. My husband and I were able to just recently donate a 1940 Chevy log truck (fully restored - gorgeous) in his family's name to a logging museum in southern Oregon that is owned by Oregon State Parks at Collier State Park near Roseburg. His dad owned a log trucking company for over 60 years and this was the same kind of truck his very first truck was when he started his business. It had been in local parades and Dad loved tinkering on it, but since he died 5 years ago it was just sitting in the storage locker. His dream was to donate it to a truck museum and I think we found a good one.

Thank you so much for sharing the birth of your relationships with your sister and brother and how they have things in common with you and your dad even though they never met him and didn’t know you until a few years ago. I recognize your brother smile as being somewhat like yours And the way you and your sister get each other you think you’d grown up together lol. But there’s some really strong traits personality wise that like Steve has of your dad’s and like you before even knew you guys existed. It’s just a real treasure to have your beautiful experiences, shared with all of us❣️❣️❣️ you set some beautiful examples the three of you and your families with the rest of us. You show us integrity, openness, and ability to love unconditionally. Thanks to all three of you!!!

I love the "haunted dolls/not haunted dolls" marketing of the Nancy Ann dolls! I may have to use that idea in my booth! And, our nextdoor neighbors had a bomb shelter in the 1960s. I got to go in it once and it was not to terribly exciting, but I was in first grade so not impressed by those things. I just wish I'd taken pictures of it.
