HU 07, it’s good to hear a lot of things have not changed in all these years lol. Touching on the friends subject definitely important to have discernment. Get to know the actual person outside of campus atmosphere.

do you know if the housing situation got better by any chance? id love to apply at howard but after what happened last year with the living conditions it really hard to still want to go.

They redid all the ventilation systems last year. The mold issues was only in a few halls not all had that issue. My room last year never had mold or any issues with water or nothing but they still changed out my filter system.

We’re you able to choose your dorm? If so, how? And how likely are you gonna get the dorm u chose?

On the housing application you were able to list your top 3 dorm choices. They try to accommodate your request by priority. I got my first choice, CHN.

Hello I am applying to Howard this year Class of 2023! I have a GPA of 3.54 but I take all AP and 2 honors courses. I have help 6 leadership position in my county wide student government and school combined. I also have many awards state, county and school. I have an ACT super score of 25 and I am expected to get a 1100 on the SAT do you think I should improve anything like my GPA ? I really want to apply and get into the school and the Karsh STEM Scholars program.

i got in this year and i didn’t even use my test scores! your stats are great, you can get in however, keep in mind that personal statements and essays are SUPER important! even if the essays are optional, DO THEM! and make sure they’re strong

Personally I would improve my gpa so you could get an academic scholarship. Anything over a 3.5 is a good admission gpa. I had graduated with a 3.89 gpa and received a scholarship that pays the majority of my tuition. Your essay is very important and they do actually read it.

Hello - how does CHS compare to CHN? My daughter received her dorm assignment last night and she's in CHS. She is also HU26. Thanks :)

Hello! CHS and CHN are pretty similar in furniture and size however, CHS is co-ed whereas CHN is girls only and typically for freshman housing. I hope this helped!
