It can be. A great way to avoid any financial aid drama is to keep copies of everything and visit the office during non-busy times(not during the first two weeks of classes or last three weeks of classes)

Girl yes. That’s the only reason I didn’t attend because it’s so bad. NYU offered me damn near a full ride and right now I’m at UofM and have a full ride. And both are more prestigious than Howard and have higher requirements and still I got less money.

@@hotathoward4343 No, I mean there seems to be maybe a toxic mentality at the school where the people there are almost forced to be fake. I'm not saying that all of the students there are fake. I wouldn't know, I haven't visited the school.

Hot at Howard ok quick edit, I visited the school and I take back my comment. I loved the campus and I don’t think the people there are fake anymore. Btw the tour I took was pretty good but I wish we could have seen the dorms

Imani Culver You’re not wrong. Incredibly shallow/immature/ghetto toxic mentality. I have a friend who goes to the other HU - Hampton University - and the atmosphere feels NOTHING like the Howard’s. I have had friends who said they chose not to attend Howard because they said they didn’t like the impression they got just from the school tour !!
