Regarding the languages in our anthem, in the first verse, the first two lines are Xhosa, and followed by two lines of Zulu. The second verse is in Sotho.
You've shown so much appreciation for South Africa and making an effort to learn more. Be careful Tim, we may not let you leave. You're "our people" now 😂😅
Regarding the languages in our anthem, in the first verse, the first two lines are Xhosa, and followed by two lines of Zulu. The second verse is in Sotho. Third verse Afrikaans, and fourth verse English.
Loftus is where I saw my first real rugby match as a kid. Bill Beaumont’s Lions against Northern Transvaal. An experience I’ll never forget. Thanks for making these videos!
Tim, you have definitely become part of the South African community. We love your videos and your content. Keep up the great work. Enjoy your stay. Safe travels.
Can see its winter in SA...They have to wear trousers. The day has arrived, fantastic! Asked the missus for a day's leave, she signed off on Thursday and I am watching NZ/Eng for breakfast. Main course served at 5PM.
Tim we love that you are enjoying your stay in SA.Looks sunny over there whilst we are shivering in the Eastern Cape. Bokke do us proud today..We have the meat the braai and beer ready...God bless us today
Welcome Tim! Biltong and the Boks. Can’t get any better. Thanks for coming over. Special country this. We live for our rugby. Enjoy that Maritzburg Affies game as well. Schoolboy rugby very very special.
Crazy collab, Tim and Jordan, just needed twocentsrugby and my Rugby Trinity would be complete. Awesome video Tim, hope you are enjoying SA. Fan from Eastern Cape, Gqeberha (no matches in my province 😢) Edit: National anthem for Tim - 1st verse = isiZulu/isiXhosa - 2nd = SeSotho - 3rd = Afrikaans 4th is obvious. Minus 1 point for you Jordan 😅
Hello from Nelspruit, Tim. Hearing you sing our beloved Nationsl Anthem was a Moist Moment for me. Your betrothed, Blessing xxx❤ P.S. My Father is willing to up the dowry to 3 goats
We definitely WANT Zombie played. I think that may be SA mind games lol. They know it will get our lads fired up. Great video Tim. Good luck Ireland and thank you SA for all the passion. It’s amazing 🇮🇪☘️
Am boning up on the words to Mambo Number 5. What an atmosphere starter! Love the old school classics being blasted out every 3 minutes. Who needs 'Bread of Heaven' and Welsh Chioirs when you can have Barbie Girl?
Morning,Tim. You have turned me into an England fan, the main reason being that you don't have a condescending attitude, apart from the fact that I cannot swallow "Sir" Kirwan's arrogance. He is doing AB rugby tremendous harm. I cannot believe that I'm extremely disappointed that England lost to them today! I'm not sure whether you realise how much good you are doing for English rugby. Amazing, and I really appreciate that you are a passionate English fan. Enjoy the rest of your visit. I'm watching the Bokke game at the Helderberg Rugby Club in the Strand today, 50 km from Cape Town. This is also where Willie le Roux spent a fair amount of his time as a young boy. His dad (called Konka) also played for Helderberg. It seems to be the case that community based club rugby, in the English mould, is making a serious comeback in SA. It used to be extremely strong in the pre-professional years (pre-1995). Helderberg is playing a league match against Brackenfell, a strong club side approx 20 km from CT.
RUGBY TESTS LIKE THIS IS IN SOUTH AFRICA 🇿🇦 AND NEW ZEALAND 🇳🇿 ARE LIKE CHAMPIONS 🏆 LEAGUE FINALS OR NFL AMERICAN FOOTBALL 🏈 SUPERBOWL FINALS, ABSOLUTELY MENTAL, MOST OF THE COUNTRY LITERALLY BECOMES TO A STAND STILL!👀👍🏉🏉🏉🏉🏉
Best rugby commentator, more passionate than Gerhardt Viviers... even about the Springboks. What a find, may the eggchaser rapidly go to 1m subscribers.. This guy is awesome and understands his rugby on a different level.
If your neighbour is dressed in a shorts, a tight Springbok jersey, socks and ankle high velskoens, don't look up into his eyes. They can smell fear. If a fight breaks out, avoid the women - they're absolutely terrifying.
I can't wait for your match atmosphere and crowd reaction videos. Every broadcaster and other online content creators seem to focus so much on match and player analysis, but miss the atmosphere of being there. At the RWC, your content was the only way to get a feel for the match vibe at the stadium.
Tim, if you're a whiskey drinker try the Klipdrift with soda instead of the ubiquitous coke. It is quite acceptable and actually the preferred old fashioned way. That way its actually very pleasant and not such an assault on the body.
This is where you want to watch a game. Loftus was my first game at a stadium watching rugby. Brandy is an anytime drink by the way. As soon as the Boeing comes over you're good to go. Love your pre and post match reviews.
I thought this was going to give me actual tips to navigating Loftus😭. I’m so nervous,I’m attending the match on my own. Good luck to me for real😭😭 Go Bokke!🥳🇿🇦
Welcome to South Africa and Loftus Tim, it’s great to have you in our Country, we wish you an enjoyable stay in RSA, you have a big following here, and we enjoy your programme on You Tube.
Tim...you are a champ. Great rugby journalist. If you loving South Africa so far then wait until you see Cape Town. Have a great time in our crazy awesome country
All social media needed was someone respected SA rugby rather than hating. Outside Eggchasers just a vicious circle. Hate us , then nasty exchanges on social media.
Great stuff, this really is a great channel and love the fact you two connected. Both great up and coming RU-vid channels with awesome unbiased just intelligent and respectful content… great stuff is all I can say and I hope you have a great time in South Africa and that we treat you well. ~> if you see this man invite him to more braai vleis, droewors, biltong and brannas!!) I have no doubt saffas will host you well and show you what we are all about! 😊
Just to comment on the anthem and its language: The lyrics employ the five most populous of South Africa's eleven official languages - isiXhosa (first stanza, first two lines), isiZulu (first stanza, last two lines), seSotho (second stanza), Afrikaans (third stanza) and English (final stanza). The other official languages are close enough to one of the languages in the anthem that ALL can identify with it.
YESSS Klippies and Coke!!! Bru today I'm watching all the rugby I can, I'm getting my hair cut and I'm going out tonight to see FKA Mash live with my boys at Toy Toy WOOOOOO
maybe when you doing a colab with someone put their link in the description of your video as they most likely will do the same. love the content glad you enjoying south africa.
