What alevels did you do and what grades did you get (if you don’t mind sharing) love the vids currently binge watching them all ❤️❤️

I’m so glad you’re finding them useful! I might make a separate video with a breakdown of my whole application incl. grades later because the order I sat exams was a bit unusual, but I studied maths/further maths/biology/econ/geography :)

@@examrizz. after those 5 alevels you definitely deserved a place at oxford 💕woud maths/further maths/ psychology be enough for e&m at oxford or is it not competitive enough?

You have further maths so that would make you a good applicant already :) They really don't mind about the number of A Levels beyond having three at A*AA or above, so don't worry about that! It wouldn't be fair of them to discriminate on this point as many schools don't allow students to take more than three. Good luck in your application and feel free to let me know if you would like any specific videos!

I was confused after reading your personal statement. Could you explain to me how genetic algorithms can be applied to game theory? Wasn't able to make any sense out of that as it's completely unheard for me.

So genetic algorithms stem from the idea of natural selection and are mostly used in computer science to find the best possible solution to different problems. You can technically apply these anywhere. GAs look at a pool of individuals which can all be potential solutions and they will try to find which individual could survive given their fitness. The nature of game theory (clear rules) means that we can use GAs to find the likelihood of certain outcomes or solutions. There's a lot more to it, but essentially it's an interesting way to solve optimisation problems. I didn't go into too much detail in the PS due to lack of space! I hope that makes sense, but if you want to do some reading on it, I can link some papers so let me know.

@@examrizz. Thanks and I'd certainly be interested to read up more on it in detail, if you have additional sources. Did the genetic algorithms thing come up in your Oxford interview since it's something which is generally pretty unheard of among Year 13 students. Just curious if the interviewer might want to see your depth in the matter considering you mentioned it in your PS.

Are you going to link the book?
