I think America peaked as a nation around 1960. It's been mostly downhill since. Greed is no longer a vice, it has become a virtue, as has perversion and mendacity. How else can we explain a man like Trump ?
Be sure to home school your children if possible, or find a Christian school that puts a emphasis on our founding fathers and our Judeo--Christian culture.
Actually, there are streaming services offering classic shows like Bonanza, Andy Griffin, I love Lucy, and Dick van Dyke. From the bygone Era when Americans cared about morals 😔
@@lilajagears8317 Even better because Andy was banging Thelma Lou off the set. What would Joe Walsh think about that? Two people having pleasurable sex outside of marriage and not doing it to make a baby. The churchy folk think it’s wrong. I guess changing demographics is a real fear. Having babies is pretty easy (for men). Planning a family and providing for them is harder.
@@lilajagears8317 I mean the right wing media guy who tells America that women shouldn’t have sex for pleasure. I would never demean Joe Walsh the guitarist. Andy boffed Thelma Lou in real life. One of their best episodes featured a woman who easily beat Andy at skeet shooting. Andy confronts his sexism and attitudes. Sorry to melt earlier. Please don’t tell Barney or Helen what I told you.
A Far Better Place in a Far Better Time! Look at What the Heck Has Happen with this World! How and Above All Why? In the Words of Andy Taylor, I'd Surely Like to Know!
@@raymondgarafano8604 The cat's meow is a saying from the roaring twenties (1920's). I never really thought about what it meant other than something great.
Its short for “you’re the cat’s pajamas” ... haven’t heard that in a while 😸 Actually now that I have a cat, I notice that he wears his usual fur suit to bed
It's true, cats are so refined they have fur pyjamas. Also short for, "you're the cat's meow," coined by the same cartoonist that came up with the cat's pajamas about a century ago. I guess someone else came up with the cat's whiskers, not quite the same thing though.
Lots of good advice can be found from Andy Griffith though sometimes he wimped out on dealing with things directly enough. All in all one of the best shows ever made
Though he states that a woman needs to hear these things, especially after marriage, I don't think of it as a sexist message. Women, unless they are being ignored or neglected are the more likely to voice how they feel to their partner. A Neglected woman will bottle up because they stop seeing the point in trying when it isn't reciprocated. That said, this can be applied to whatever partner you choose to spend your life with. A partner loves knowing they are both loved, appreciated and desired, especially deep into the relationship when that familiarity sets in. You know the point, the one where you say "Aww, they know how I feel about them". It doesn't have to be every single day, but it does have to be often enough that there is no doubt how you feel.
I was thinking that same thing the other day. Why not do a modern show based in a modern Mayberry. I bet you will find a lot of those same values, today.
Swww.....sweetpea....you look like an omelet to meeee....I really mean that with all my heart! No, I haven't been drinking! Just out of the...the goblet of love.. no, I haven't been drinking I tell you...yes, I do like the omelet....oh, forget it!
Not at all. I’m 27 and love this show and have loved it since I was introduced to it by my parents when I was about age 8. I’m convinced that very good people with great values watch this show.
Very sad. Respect, discipline, comon courtesy, caring about other people.,it’s all gone. Now people just care about themselves, and what other people think, and getting offended! Sensitive and weak. That’s what society is all about today. One more thing., Lawsuits so they get money they don’t deserve and don’t have to work for the rest of their lives! Sad but true. Look around. That’s why this world is all …… up
If my husband told me he sees my face in his plate of eggs he wd be WEARING that plate of eggs! but he doesnt eat eggs any more because he had a mini stroke and now eats a 95% alkaline plant based diet to reduce his blood pressure and eliminate more strokes etc. Now he calls me a real tomata!
"Three Over Easy, on the runny side, Stack of Wheats with Butter and Mrs. Butterworth, bacon on the crisp side, Coffee Flat White, and a Huckleberry Smash." Served by "Miss Olive" Herself at "The Mayberry Diner." And leave a VERY generous Tip. "Pore Ol Olive's a Widow with Kids. She can use it!"🤔😊🎤🍳🥓🥞🥩☕☕🥤👮♂️👮♂️📺B.W.
I believe that men should do this, but it works both ways, don't it? Women AND men should stop being idiots to each other and just enjoy one another....No power struggles and selfishness, right? Stop all the "Me" BS.....i'm a giver, not a receiver, I enjoy being that way.....love giving flowers....
Today if you tell a girl how you feel... she'll dump you sooo fast and friend zone you... And 3sec later she'll be sleeping with your replacement who's been waiting in her DM the whole time she was with you...
It's shorthand for the slang phrase "the cat's pajamas," as in, "Man, she's the cat's pajamas!" The phrase would have been almost outdated even then. I don't know the origin of the phrase, but it basically means something that's great, or the best.
the first five seasons made it a top 3 sitcom along with the Simpsons and Seinfeld. Compared to those seasons the latter 3 seasons were bad, though on par with most other sitcoms.
