There are a lot of B6.4D's at my local track. I'm pretty new to rc and drive a rear motor RB10, but I've tried driving the B6.4D a couple times. They drive really smooth compared to mine. In hindsight, I probably should have gone with a 6.4D kit, but I had no idea what I was doing 6 months ago when I started.
The RB10 was an OK starting choice and will still teach you very useful 2WD buggy driving skills. I believe thats more B5 than B6 with the rear motor. If you feel like you cannot compete with it, then it might be time to change, but likely fine for getting started. Have fun!
