In today’s ae86 project video, I will be installing side skirts (the proper way) on my ae86 trueno coupe. A while back, I purchased Retro-spec side skirts , as well as replica j blood ae86 side skirts for my project. I will show you how to make them removable, by installing rivet nuts ( nutserts / rivnuts ), instead of self-taping screws. This will also minimize the chance of rust in the future.
Unfortunately, the footage of me mounting the j blood side skirts got corrupted and I was not able to retrieve it. I will re-install them at a later date and make sure to include it in a future video. As for now, I like the look of the Retro-spec OEM replica side skirts better anyway. The look is very close to the original Toyota ones.
