Also have a.45 cal version with 300 Fpe … here in California they hate for people to be armed with firearms… this for the truck is perfect.. I have a shotgun for home defense.. but these pellet guns are perfect for the truck and it can be loaded 😉🤣🤣🤣
I Have a HP Max in .357. switched out the bolt knob for a finger grooved one from Area 419 & added an inline huma regulator w/o plenum to a 530 cc carbon bottle. wake n shake 2 MOA red dot & Perst 4 railed on top. Very happy with it. Hadn't seen footage of the hush suppressor before, it sounds like a decent choice and optimal in its diameter close matching that of the barrel. It's a loud gun so it is of interest to me.
@@theshooterszone Thanks for the reply, man. For the regulator, in my experience, if you mod your rig to incorporate one, then Huma will not disappoint. The intergrated male foster for filling is a lot more robust than some other options, it can handle being tethered & also the Huma has a stepless rotation of the fill pin & valve, so it is never in the way, which is also very cool. I've installed a HS stainless stell valve needle, so I am thinking at some point up the wire thickness a little on the hammer & valve needle springs, respectively. Myself I've been wondering on if the tiniest of bead of raw Linseed oil from a 23 gauge needle to diesel a few slugs & pellets could push the Max to break the sound barrier at anywhere between 1,060-1,125 f.p.s..a precisely measured linseed dieseled pellet of around 90 grains iirc was measured with over an extra 200 f.p.s. I doubt it'd be super healthy for the gun but the max is robust enough & maybe the goal is doable. If I only had my Max & shtf I'd 100% be doing that lol In terms of the can, tbh, I've ordered a DonnyFL Yokozuma, as it goes. I was sold on the modular harmonic tuning & quick locking features,but no doubt the Hushcan is sweet also. Thanks again for the reply & a Merry Christmas to you, man.
re: a downside to adding an external bottle regulator w/o plenum on a 510cc 300 bar bottle is typically they are sold rated at max 250 bar..unless a 4500psi paintball conversion with burst disks, for instance. I have no worries running such a high quality PCP reg like the Huma pushing 275 or even up to 290 if I was really try to max out the values while still regulated...I just know the Belleville washers will be worn out sooner. Getting a reg is worth doing and with a 300cc bottle an added plenum but the total length in sync with the muzzle.Peace.
Internal regs for the stock aea metal tank are very limiting of the rifle's potential even when fully opened. External bottle regs are the way to go. 2 cents.
I'm curious as to how many good shots are you getting from the Max 357? I'm trying to decide if I want to go with the Challenger Bullpup 357 or the Max HP.
If your primary reason for using it is hunting I would go with the bullpup, if you want something more versatile I would go with the HP. You can get a good mag full out of it at full pressure which is 7rds. These are unregulated so with every shot the fps drops a little.
@@theshooterszone Thank you for the info. I've been known to put regulators in my gums if they don't have a huge bottle. If there's one thing I can't stand,it's a power curve. Lol. I put a Huma in my bulldog and my Challenger Bullpup in.25 is from Bin Tac and I had him put a 19 mpa regulator in that for me. I appreciate the feedback, very much.
