so awesome someone in michigan is actually putting these air rifles thru their paces. got the Terminator .357 2nd Gen and seriously love it. told some friends about it and they sorta scoffed at it, UNTIL, they shot it. they didn't wanna stop shooting it once we started. and they were amazed at its power. anyways, thanks for putting the time, energy, effort, money, and all that , to put these together.
🤠 That's a tempting PCP. In the beginning people had functionality issues blamed with that AEA model blamed on the blowback for the semi-auto and empty firing. . How has that worked for you?@@backyardairgunfun462
Excellent review, no BS or nonsense. One thing I will add about any guns and accuracy. To get it working great, you have to break it down all the way and set everything perfectly. This is especially true with cheaper guns. Tolerance changes and modifications have to be made sometimes.
Use the heaviest NSA that will cycle in the magazine. That's sometimes 55 grain, sometimes 49.5 grain. The heavier, the better the group. If it doesn't cycle, you can pull back the bolt and do it by hand. Kind of a trade off with these guns. Try the 61 grain sometime, even if the mag hangs up on you once or twice, you'll be shooting some tight groups. OTOH you can turn down the power adjustment wheel and probably shoot tighter with those lighter slugs.

@@MichiganAirgunner I believe you’re 100%correct,theres plenty of 45 caliber gun manufacturers out nowadays,granted not too many semi auto’s but that particular one has had it’s issues!!
I have the 357 terminator and I absolutely love it lots of power high shot count with both tanks and u can make it tactical by adding a folding stock I love this gun
@@backyardairgunfun462 nice!! I’m definitely between the 30 and 357. I didn’t think the 357 would have a high shot count at all. I’m looking for something to put the thermal on for yotes ,bobcat and probably raccoons.
I must be the luckiest aea customers ever lol my 357 terminator has never had an issue ever preforms better than expected but I purchased from Zach at ares airguns tactical who built and designed the terminator and I've got a 25 hpss plus and again never a single problem
Got my AEA .30 shooting right at an over 1200 fps NSA 65.5 Mine was a night mare to get it right !! More they break in before they break My has settled in !!
Great vid as always. If I were you, I would try .303 dia slugs. I know NSA has the 47 grains .303, but I use AVS ammo. I figured everything else AEA in .30 cal is .303 so why not the Terminator. I would just like to see the difference. My AEA .30 had more energy and velocity with the same weight bullet but 2 different diameters.
I have one of AEA semi's and love it but it's a horse of a different color compared to that Terminator. It's the .25 cal carbine doing about 52 fpe with my cast NOE 34.5 grain pellets. It's actually one of the early ones of that model and they still carry the model. Absolutely nothing has gone wrong with it except I did ruin the barrel o ring by using bad cast skirted pellets in it. Those barrel o rings are a pain in the ass changing too. I do admit when I'm out hunting with it sometimes I do have to pull the mag to see where I'm at. I've gotten pretty good at keeping track recently but sometimes I forget.
@@MichiganAirgunner I've had really great luck with my 25 cal, you can get them with carbon fiber tanks as well. Recently their semi 22's had poppet problems. Never had a problem with my 25 carbine by dry firing and blowing out an o ring. I did buy a spare due to seeing all the poppet problems in the .22's
I'm looking for an air slugger tool for deer sized game. should I spend more on a more powerful option like say the "Western Big Bore Bushbuck .45" which is $1800. or are there more affordable options? thanks

Those tube bands on the other hand I can't get over how long these guys are ,asking them!? How many things do you want to mount on there? Thanks for the video. I just wanted to recommend trying the LCS Sk19. It is semi and full auto. It does not have the spring actuated auto cooking crap like that AEA or my Hatsan Galatian semiautomatic. The LCS has a hammer less valve and uses a small piston to cycle the magazine witch unfortunately is not removable. But 16 .30 caliber shots is plenty for me the pig dear etc. Oh and the LCS is well deadly accurate.
Just stumbled across your channel and love the content! One question I have for you: if you could choose one airgun, what would be your all around favorite? I’m debating if I should get a .357 terminator. I have the HP Max .357 which is great and the s45 which I’ve had to work on… a lot.
If I had to pick only one it would my small challenger 357.. it's reliable and I can hunt small game or large game just by witching slugs.. so far all the Simi auto guns will mess up one way or another.. I wish they would make a hp max 357 with a 24in barrel
@@MichiganAirgunner My daydream is to have a 9mm barrel made for the .50 HP Max, and a 9mm pellet probe, so you could use the 10rd AEA 357 magazines with the big bore valve and at least a 20” barrel. So essentially a B&W M50 in .357. Sadly I have the idea but not the ambition to get someone to build it, so if anyone happens across this and decides to build them, please sell them aftermarket 🤓 I need one! 😂
You know what I really don't know what a person would really use the 30 cal rifle on I mean I've got a 22 caliber air rifles I've got quite a few of them actually I've got two 25 calibers air rifles and it seems like the higher you go up in caliber the more expensive the pellets or the bullets are or slugs and you pay more and you get less so I really don't see what the 30 caliber would accomplish I think anything that you would shoot with a 30 caliber you could get the same results really out of a 25 caliber and the pellets or the Slugs I'm sure would be cheaper and they're a little bit higher than the 22 caliber
