My step dad would love that show. Manly the buses....he would pull them to bits as he did mot prep work on them for over 45 yrs. Iv got his made up tool box.....no snap-on just a old filing cabinet and a old electric box on top... Full of old school tools and loads of struggler (home made tools) to make life easy. Love to see these tools but to use again but nobody seams interested. Good show old chap.

I have my old tools for bus fitting. If you can't buy it make it brake see saws hooks and gearbox setting tools and pressure tools and clamps and gauges for gearboxes and fluid flywheels do miss the smell of a burnt out box

Yeah it’s a shame, I’ve got loads of home made tools ect in my container from when I had the workshop as you lot said cheaper and quicker to make than buy 😊 do r think it’s done that way much nowadays 👍 cheers Brian

I used to drive the old foden 8 wheelers with the air operated range change gearbox in the mid 70's, although the trucks were from the sixties ,I hated em.heavy steering worn out gearboxes and gardener 150 motors .but like you said the smell when you cracked em up in the morning before the blue smoke cleared. Fantastic

On those horseboxes to get the cab you need to open the front and tilt it up and then the floor above the cab slides back and then you can tilt

I hope there was a good turnout by Sunday love Bedfords and Aec ex bus fitter but after such a bad turnout at Kirkby Stephen Easter rally I would imagine a lot of exhibitors wouldn't show up cost of fuel etc

Bringing back some memories for me Chris ,my dad’s first waggon was called a Steyr he was an owner Driver out of John carr Doncaster I think it was An H reg rite pile of 💩 cops used to pull him all the time because they never seen one before and wanted a look 😂 his 2nd truck was iveco he traded down 😂

My dad loved the blog he used to work for Alcan in Norwich they used to build refrigerated trailers for Birdseye ,buxted chicken etc I can remember going to the factory when I was a young lad and seeing a load of Bedford Tks and ford D series having some body's put on like the old crane Fruehauf skeletal keep up the good work best wishes Jamie
