Aegon II Targaryen: Victor or Victim | House of the Dragon (Spoilers) 

It's just the creator of this video's opinion because there is no clear answer to who won the dance. Of course it would be Rhaenyra's line that lived on and not Aegon's, but in the history books of Westeros, Aegon is considered to be the sole official Targaryen monarch during the dance, not Rhaenyra... That said, you could say either of them won for good reason or you could say they both actually lost and for the same reasons essentially...it's all subjective.

@@JimStyslinger-hq9sq I would argue that Daemon was the true winner of the Dance. None of his children died during the war and both of his sons went on to sit the throne. Regardless, that's besides the point. The point of my comment was to point out that it was impossible to call Aegon the winner of the Dance since the war continued even after he killed his sister.

@@lordtopsy5666yeah technically rhaenyra and daemon won their bloodline still continued while the greens with Valyrian blood died. George did say there will be another dance if dragons in the asoiaf series and Cersei parallels a lot with Rhaenyra and will have a similar ending since a little brother will choke her out. Then you have a fake Targaryen raised by Varys and illyrio who’s just a pawn like Aegon II and he’s already showing so much arrogance and how he’s unfit to rule

All of this happened because Visery's retained Otto Hightower as his hand after King Jaehaery's passed away. King Visery's should have replaced Otto IMMEDIATELY.
