I did that kind of work back in 1999-2003 worked on a golf course the difference between y'all and the golf course I worked at we shut down only 9 holes kept the other 9 open the players had a choice either play 9 or play the same 9 holes twice to make it a round of golf I did everything on a golf course.

Lmao no they leave all the markers on the ground to punch holes through and completely destroy. This is only one kind of maintenance practice, it needs to be dine but isn't the best one, deep tine aeration going 10 to 12 inches deep, deep verticutting, drill and fill up to 14 inches deep, hydro ject 6 to 8 inch deep aeration with compressed water, spike aeration, 8 inch long spikes. It's extremely important to punch holes at different depths if you don't layering will form this will cause black layer. Home lawns don't need aeration, they don't get compaction like golf courses, they would benefit from verticutting more

Always backfill your old cups before aerating.

Do you have to put sand on the greens after it's aerated?

Who makes the aerator you’re using on the greens with that tight core spacing?

Yeah we have the attachment that drags them off to the side on its own. Then we use a box blade to push them up into piles. Then take our bunker rake with the blade on the front and a front end loader and use the bunker rake to push them into the bucket on the tractor and then dump them into the trailer. It’s so much faster.
