I've always liked Aerith and Tseng's relationship. But if I'm being honest, I like her relationship with pretty much every single character because she's amazing.

This relationship is probably one of the longest running relationships in the story. It's not overly done but just as powerful. Tseng has been her protector since she was a little girl, the only one in her life that's been around that long. He's the goat in my opinion, just for keeping it real and true with her for that damn long. Tseng has never been a bad guy, just got stuck in a crap situation with Shinra. You can start to see him slowly detaching from them as the story progresses, even back in Crisis Core. He's my fav in the game and I love the interaction between him and Aerith throughout the entire Rebirth, one of the many things they got so right imo. I cannot stress enough the incredible dynamic between these two. I'm in love with Tseng all over again❤❤❤

I always had the feeling that Shinra leaving Aerith alone in Sector 6 for all those years was Tseng's doing. I can imagine him talking to President Shinra going "It's better this way, sir... We know exactly where she is, within arm's reach. If we try to capture her again, she'll just try to flee again. She might be injured, killed, and then where would we be? Trust me, sir. This is the smarter option. We keep her close, we keep her safe, and when the time is right, we can make our move easily."

Tseng was watching over Aerith before Zack even came along. He was assigned to her when he was about 15 yrs old. This goes way further back than Zack

Technically thats Aerith's very first bodyguard. Plus, Tseng is one of the very few people that understands Aerith other than Ifalna and Elmayra. Thats why in this game, you can see how much they are concerned for eachother.

One of the most badass things a side character like Tsung can do lol. Gets impaled by sephiroth, shoots him back, has a heart to heart with Aerith and then gets up and walks it off to go write a report.

I was already worried that Hojo would be interested to ‘help’ Tseng and he actually did. The moment Hojo opened his mouth I was already screaming “YOU STAY AWAY FROM TSENG, CREEP!” Good thing Rufus said no. Tseng is his favourite Turk.
