This bit sounds too in-tune with this song to be a mistake, I think it's just him playing with his options here - he made a creative choice which paid off.

Really snazzy cover AS ALWAYS. I finally got myself an electronic drum kit and now I can look into learning it, and I wanted to ask; Do you have any tips or methods for picking it up on your own? Or should I go out of my way to get a teacher? Any good resources or guides to utilize? Really, anything you could say is helpful. Keep the drumming strong!

easiest way to learn is autodidact (did i spell it wrong? whutever) b'cuz u can improve as much as u want, but then still need to learn much more to other people. There is a lot lesson in the internet. Just never give up on learning
