You know, So glad you're back. When i'm on the fence about dropping cash on an addon I know I only have to wait a few days to see one of your reviews to help me make a decision. Thank You!
I bought this aircraft today and it is stunning. I’m very impressed with it. Your use of the word fun exactly describes this add-on. Thanks for a brilliant review.
Nice review! So many great products lately for x-plane, I'll have to pick this one up next month when I have the budget again lol. One piece of advice on takeoff/ground ops: since you were at 7000 feet of altitude on a warmish day (looked like 75F according to OAT), going full mixture will tend to make the engine run overly rich. You can kind of hear the engine bog down a little when you put the mixture to max in fact. Usually in the high mountain regions you'd lean for max power before takeoff.
I missed my chance to buy the Realair Legacy for FSX by just a few days when they closed with no warning, so stoked to see another Legacy of at least the same quality released ! Thank you for a great and unequivocal review.
Thank you Q8 this was another beautiful video of yet another supurb plane from Aerobask. I purchased it straight away late last night. Looking forward to flying it.
Great video, I picked up a couple of Aerobask planes during the recent half price sales and have been really impressed. Will keep an eye out for a July 4th sale hopefully. Stay well my friend
Based on my experience with flight simulation, I would say the sounds on this bird are outstanding! Thanks for sharing your experience with the community. Truly appreciate it!
Same here. What's more, the Glideslope actually works in it. I could not get the GS to work in my other Aerobask planes, so this is wonderful. I've waited patiently a long time for this plane.
Great review, Thankyou. Out of interest do you know if it’s compatible with the GTN 750. Always prefer aircraft where I can use my Avionics panel of choice.
I hope this question doesn’t bother you but how can afford almost every add-on on the xplane store? Nearly all planes cost more than the game, really wish i could afford em too, sadly Im stuck with only the Zibo for now and probably forever.
Q8Pilot Ah, thing is, i did that too, but my economy and currency collapsed and i ended up losing all my earnings i saved up throughout the years. The only good currency right now is the dollar which the banks wont let anyone take, the dollar which the people earned through hardwork and the banks and government stealing. oh well, thank you for answering
Great video, Sam! For me, this aircraft is the most immersive and high fidelity GA aircraft ever released, for any sim. Greetings from EGNT Newcastle, UK.
There is - it's the Aerobask fixed gear version and is quite old in terms of modelling and texturing. This one is a night and day difference from the fixed gear
Very nice video thanks, were you using xprealistic with this plane? do the airframe touch down/shakes on landing come from that app or from the plane itself?
I own an actual Legacy, and bought the Aerobask to do some VR practice flying. This is harder to fly in VR than the real aircraft, for a number of reasons. Control sensitivity does not match. VR hand controllers are not hands. You can switch views unintentionally, and crash because your view is no longer in the cockpit. On the plus side, when done properly, it is very much like flying the real thing.
Most of the drawbacks in X11 VR are my lack of familiarity with using the controls. Two thumbs up on the Aerobask Legacy RG, one thumb up on VR so far.
Thank you so much for the great review. Looked excellent to fly and is definitely a candidate for my XP11 hanger! May I ask one thing I was curious about. On the top left side of the instrument panel there was a stack of three lights (green, yellow and red) with a number underneath (that went negative after landing). Please could you share what this instrument was for... thank you!
I don’t have a brilliant machine to run the sim, I can get certain aircraft working ok as long as they are not too FPS heavy. Is this one particularly demanding?
Having flown into the High Sierra airports including Mammoth , one never goes full rich on the mixture takeoff or landing since the engine would be losing some power from a too rich mixture. To perform a high altitude takeoff in a normally aspirated engine, one would go to full power (holding the brakes) and leaning slowing till the RPM rises, all the while watching the EGT,s. The EGT's will rise and then begin to fall. That point is too lean, so push in the mixture till the EGT's go up and then back down about 125deg F from peak EGT. The engine would then be producing full power at that altitude and with 125 deg F rich of peak would not be risking detonation. Not familiar with this plane, but would be surprised if it did not have tuned injectors which allow lean of peak operation. Had those in my experimental Mustang II and they allow much more efficient fuel flow.
I was up when your review came in, it was 12:15am so watched it on my phone which I normally don't do. I watched entire review and went to store and bought it. I love Aerobask and never have a problem with install or flying it. Superb review Osama as always. Thanks for choosing this AC and for all the haters out there he buys review AC he doesnt do supported subsidized reviews. FYI when you gave it a 10 I said WOW outloud :) Take care my friend all the best to your family
@@nunosantos2015 - The airport is not *part* of Orbx TrueEarth. Sam was just telling you that the scenery is Orbx TrueEarth, and the airport is a freeware airport. It's available at X-Plane.org. It then just sits "on top" of Orbx TrueEarth. Espero que esto ayude.
