What's up? Long time no post! There's a reason for that; the game has been written from the ground up in C++, and now runs better than ever! Sorry for the long lapse between posts, but I've been really busy as of late. Still working on this as much as I can! But anyway, here's a new pre-pre-alpha for you all to enjoy and play! I'm doing all the same math/physics/logic, but it just runs faster now! It looks the same because it basically is the same logic, just in a different programming language!

I've been playing this a few times since I iscovered it a few weeks ago an I'm wondering, how complexe is everything on show here? I've always been interesting in video game development, but I've always been too stupid to understand anything... UE4, going in with zero experience, zero knowledge, zero skills, zero smarts and zero brains, how long is it to go from zero to hero? How many hours of practice? How many years of learning?

I certainly wouldn't consider even myself a "hero" yet. I made game modifications of all types (art, scripting/coding, level/map design) in various games and engines for around 9 years, and then have been working with UE4 since around March 2017 when I decided to download it and give it a spin. So technically I've been doing this kind of work for around 13 years. This project was not my first, so there was also plenty of learning and experimenting that I did before hand. The math in my game ended up not being terribly complex, and I was very fortunate to find some great resources early on to learn from. The project is not to a size yet where I would consider it "complex," but it is very steadily approaching it. It's certainly possible to start from zero experience and grow to eventually become skilled enough to create games. Plenty of people have managed to do it; but do keep in mind that it is a very long road ahead with a lot of learning, research, and work. It will take time.

Oh my gosh, this is amazing. You are criminally underrated man! I'll definitely be showing this everyone I know that cares about F-Zero. I'm tired of those G-Racers like fast racing neo and all sorts similar. They feel too slow and "limiting." This captures the freedom that GX had in its movement with its own flare! Keep doing what you're doing, and don't rush it. Take your time with whatever you are having to do with your personal life, just keep making this with the love that you have already put in it! I'm fine with waiting however long! I'm just very happy to see a NEW game in the genre I love so dearly. Have a wonderful and blessed day!
