The AeroPress coffee maker stands out with its unique features. Unlike a French press, it brews coffee without any grit, ensuring a smooth and clean cup every time. In contrast to an espresso machine, it's a breeze to use, making it perfect for beginners. And did you know, it can even double as a cold brew coffee maker, delivering a refreshing cold brew in just two minutes!
Here's a great way to brew with the AeroPress coffee maker!
- Put a filter in the filter cap
- Twist the filter cap onto the bottom of the chamber
- Stand the chamber on a sturdy mug
- 1 rounded scoop of medium fine ground coffee into the chamber
- Shake to level
- 175F (80C) water poured to number (1) on the chamber
- Stir 10 seconds
- Insert the plunger and press gently for 20-40 seconds, pausing occasionally when you feel resistance
- Drink as is for espresso-style or top off your mug with hot water for American-style coffee (or with hot milk for a latte)

I remember a few years ago, I took a coffee seminar at my university, and we had a competition in which we were grouped into teams of 3. We had this tasting competition to see which group made the best coffee, and you could choose whichever method of coffee-making you wanted. My group chose Aeropress to make our coffee under my suggestion, and we won first place. Got an A for that class, thanks to aeropress.

I bought one a couple months ago after using a french press for years. I don't know why i didn't switch sooner. The coffee is so much smoother than what i was getting in a french press, yet effortless to make. No need to be so careful in how I'm grinding my beans, the filter takes care of finer grounds. I'm using it 2/3 times a day. It's great!

@@amrahahaider5063 to brew the coffee? I wouldn't try it, you need water at a certain temperature to extract the full flavor of the coffee. Milk would either scold or get that protein skin and at too high of a temperature the taste would change. I think it would end up as a mess.

This is my second Keurig Coffee Brewer. ru-vid.comUgkxBrV-RbF5Nk0Rlt9i15aao-YMzqzTG8Vf The first one lasted 6 years. It worked beautifully until the day it didn't. It was hard to go back to the drip coffee for a couple of days while I waited on my Keurig to get here. There is a huge difference in the taste. Keurig makes a really good cup of coffee. This new one is a little different from my old one. I find putting the water filter in was easier than on the old one. Attaching the water reservoir was also a little different but once I figured it out, it too was easier. This new one has the auto off feature but is not programmable like the old one. Only three cup sizes instead of four. The odd thing for me was how much lighter in weight this one is compared to my old one. More plastic and much less metal in the construction of this one. The price is so much less than the original Keurig that I bought and the coffee tastes the same so all in all I am satisfied.

What I like about the Aeropress, compared to my regular coffee machine, is that I can control and experiment with both the brewing time _and_ the water temperature. Using a thermometer, I can add the hot water at whatever temperature I desire. I can also brew the coffee for as long or a short of a period of time as desired. My coffee machine does not offer either of these two options. (I'm sure many machines do... but mine does not.)
@AeroPressCoffeeMaker

No, you would not. This is a *fine drip grind*, about 75-80% of the way to espresso grind. Adding additional water would overextract the tannins and other bitter agents from the grinds. This would result in a pretty shit cup of coffee. This would be akin to using a disposable unit, like a K-Cup, more than once.
@johnulcer
@johnulcer Год назад
@@seanm2685 two tablespoons of ground coffee (roughly 10g) typically correlates with 6-8oz of water so I don’t think filling the chamber to the 4oz line will really make a poor cup of coffee. I’ve been doing it this way for years - tastes great to me.
