sorry to be off topic but does any of you know a trick to log back into an Instagram account..? I somehow lost my login password. I love any tricks you can give me.
@Maddux Kade thanks for your reply. I got to the site on google and I'm in the hacking process atm. Seems to take a while so I will reply here later with my results.
good video! Is there a button option in which the track only sounds once? In other words, that you press "play" and it sounds what you have recorded just once, without having to hit stop?
Hey Gele, you could do this via midi by sending the start on the press and the stop on the release. (Aeros start CC:43 value 1 and stop CC:43 value 0). Aeros has to have stop song device setting set to the end of the loop for this to work this way, otherwise no we do not have a One Shot Parts mode at this time though we do intend on looking into it.
Really interesting. Can be used with any midi pedal controller to assign each of 6 tracks to record and play? And to switch between the intro, chorus... Thanks 😊
Got one more question. Is there a video that shows how to record in 6x6 mode while the Aeros is synced to the Beatbuddy? It acts differently when I go to next part on 2x2 then it does using 6x6 when I transition from drum part 1 to other drum parts on the Beatbuddy . In 2x2 mode when I transition to another drum part the Aeros automatically transitions with it. But doesn’t do that in 6x6 mode. A video showing how to use Beatbuddy with Aeros in 6x6 mode would be great! Thank you!
Say you record the 1st verse, then go to next track and record the chorus. Can the verse and or chorus be copied and pasted into second part of song, or do you have to play them again? Also, can the whole songs you record be saved on sd card for playing live later? And how much storage or full songs would you be able to save? I don’t even know if it has a sd card in unit? But very interested in buying this pedal. Thank you!
Hey there, 1) yes, you can lock tracks that will make it so they stay in each song part that you switch to 2)Yes, any song you make can be saved either on your internal storage or SD card 3)It depends on if you are saving onto your internal storage or an SD card. For the internal storage you can save up to 10 hours of mono recordings, and for the SD card, any size up to 32gb 4)SD card does not come included with the Aeros when purchased
Love this gear, but wow - you really couldn't have done a better, clearer tutorial? The music in the 1st 60% of the video is so spacey and unstructured that it's almost impossible to connect up what we hear to what you're doing with the controls.
is is possible to add external audio source from lets say a recording of voice from an external recording device. Maybe put on the SD card and include that in the loop?
Hey there, yes you are able to add external recordings/audio to the Aeros because of its Backing Tracks feature. Check out this video showing you how to add backing tracks to the Aeros: ru-vid.comEImQOyUl328
Is there at least a metronome buit-in ? How about a simple drum machine (I think it's no)..... Last question, If you have an external drum machine, you have to record it within one of the available phrases right? Tried to find these answers with no luck yet.
Hey there, yes, the Aeros has a built-in click track feature. You can enable or disable the click track and adjust its volume in the device settings. Keep in mind that the click track is meant to help you stay in time while recording and overdubbing loops but will not be heard during playback. You can use this feature independently or in conjunction with the BeatBuddy for more advanced rhythm control. There is no built in drum machine, but the Aeros was made to be able to talk to our BeatBuddy to seamlessly use them together through MIDI.
@@SingularSoundOfficial , Hey thanks for taking the time to respond. I've seen examples of the click track aux. out. I'm coming from a Boss RC-5. Would be great if it had a few basic drum beats and metronome running on it's own loop. Otherwise, it makes it almost necessary to purchase the beat buddy at same the time. Keep on innovating! I've got my eye set on it.
After you have recorded one part and want to go straight to play without more overdubs or additional tracks, how do you do that? Like a conventional looper?
Hey Chuck, after you finish recording a part/overdub on a track, by clicking the right button, you automatically are able to play on top of the recording without recording anything. Does that answer your question?
@@SingularSoundOfficialYou would have the only looper that would have that option! Hey, thank you for all your quick responses! Got the Aeros in the mail yesterday! Already wrote a complete song on it today! I got a lot of learning to do, but yeah, the thing is awesome! Thank you!
Can anyone advise on using headphones with the looper. For some reason I am unable to hear the tracks whenever I plug in phones to the “out” portals. Thanks.
When moving from the bridge to the chorus of my song, i need to turn on/unmute my premade/saved loop (call it back) as well as playing a drum fill at the same time. How can i do those two jobs at the same time while playin guitar and singin? Can calling a muted loop back trigger the drum fill as well?
This is a great video and is really helpful. But is there a way to have a looped track carry over into the next part. I have a pedal tone that is going to play continuously through an intro, second part and third part. Can this be done in a live looping situation without having record 3 minutes of the pedal tone over all three parts before switching back to the intro? Does that question make sense?
Hey Dewell, you can easily do this by locking the track you want to carry over into the next part. To do this, you need to: 1. Press and hold the bottom left button to bring out the slideout menu 2. You must start by locking track 1 (top track in 2x2) 3. use the wheel or your finger to lock the track by selecting Lock from the menu 4. You can lock up to 5 tracks in 6x6 and only 1 in 2x2 5. anything you do to the locked track in one part happens to the track in all parts a. mute, volume level, undone, overdub, re-record, reverse, etc 6. you can only lock and unlock tracks in the first part of the Aeros song before recording to part 2
Check out our manual if you are still confused! singularsound-publicly-downloadable.s3.us-east-2.amazonaws.com/manuals/Aeros+Loop+Studio+Manual+(Firmware+5.0.0).pdf
please consider a portable pro version w/ balanced i/o, usb power and internal battery, buttons vs footswitches, track bounce - you could be the next portastudio.
The Aeros loop studio is a very solid and beautiful machine, with with endless possibilities. He is quite small and he is very logic to understand....Especially the RPO button, of which you can operate everything with one foot, instead of searching what you need. together with the Bead Buddy, you have a very powerful system, that beats everyting!
This machine was designed for guitarists right?. Primarily solo performers and bedroom players one assumes. Please re-film this at half the speed while using a coherent script that defines things like "song part" clearly. Show clearly how terms and features apply to creating coherent Intro, verse, chorus, bridge, outro, coda types of song structures. Show how these can be used in both a live perfomance, as practice tools, and for songwriting and recording. Eliminate that incoherent, repetitive, annoying unstructured, useless crappy EDM background music. Nobody buying an aeros is using it to perform at raves. Ravers hate guitar music. For demonstration purposes use the sort of rock or pop music most often played by guitarists. The ambient guys will adapt it for their needs, as will the jazz, funk, worship and hip-hop crowds, if any. Just a single coherent verse-chorus-bridge walk-through would help. Put all features and commands and settings into the context of music performance work-flow rather than just rattling them off rapid fire like your reciting a dictionary when trying to educate your customers or market to new ones. New Aeros / Beat Buddy owners like me will greatly appreciate it, and will be less likely to flip their new toy at half price on E-bay thus undermining your sales. Just Sayin'
Hi there, thanks for the feedback. Check this helpful video by our friend Joe Vitale Jr. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-lXd58H3i38w.html
Yeah, ive watched the videos so many times now in anticipation. Said the delivery was coming end of September so im keeping my fingers crossed. This thing looks amazing. EHX keeps putting out mediocre loopers then someone finally comes along and figures it out and executes. Cant wait!!!
Thanks for the comment Hasan. We're finalizing the production of the second batch as we speak. It should become available in the next few weeks. Feel free to reach out to us at support@singularsound.com. :)
Thanks for sharing. I am curious if this looper can record the whole finished product to the SD card and therefore function like a mixer and recorder to some extent. I am also curious about its link with a drum machine, whether it is locked into just the Beat Buddy or if it can effectively link with other rhythm sources. I am curious if I could have one that may use hang drum samples or tablas, rather than the usual drum set.
Thanks for the comment. You can record up 24 hours in stereo using an SD-Card. That's plenty of recording time. The Aeros behaves as a MIDI slave and has the ability to receive MIDI CC messages from other devices. You can record anything into the unit as you main rhythm source. You can use a preamp/mixer to connect a mic or record drum samples into the unit.
how do we mute our loop or loops when we dont want any loop to play (silent) while we need the beadbuddy to continue to play and then bring our loop back with one push of a button? esp. needed for singer guitar players who play fills with beatbuddy at the same time.
there is literally no video on the Internet showing how to load backing tracks for live performance onto the aeros and then using it to trigger those tracks in a performance situation. Honestly the amount of musicians in a serious live situation who are doing live looping is not as many as those who need some sort of backing track they have created on their daw. PLEASE update this. It is an absolutely essential feature and very much needed on the pedal marketplace, as smaller or solo acts _really_ need the ability to trigger backing tracks without carrying a laptop and mixer, And even with the laptop and mixer it’s completely impractical to try to trigger a song and then play the live part in time… I just don’t understand why there are no pedals that do this or if this pedal does it please show a demo in the situation. thank you.
Thanks for this comment. This feature is coming very soon. In the meantime, you can record the tracks using any of the inputs and save them to recall them again to your next gig.
can I use it with no time signature at all? I need something for experimental music that would allow me to make loops in different time signatures, tempo etc. at the same time. Thanks for the support
Hi Victor, thanks for the comment. YES! Free Form Mode will be released very soon. It is on our developing timeline and it will probably be ready within the next few weeks.
Question here 🙋♂️ , if I’m playing a song live and the bridge comes , can I have a pre saved loop ready to play when that time comes during the song without me pressing anything??
@@VellonWepa not yet but you can record them into the unit using any of the inputs and then save them into the sd-card. You can also playback you tracks on you DAW and sync the Aeros via MIDI to record/loop more tracks and play with the recorded tracks.
It would be interesting to see someone using the Aeros, Beatbuddy & Midi Maestro with the Line 6 HX Stomp and maybe The Gig Rig Three 2 One instrument switcher with an electric guitar, electric bass & electric acoustic guitar to record all 3 instruments with drum backing on different loops
I bought one, this seems well-thought-out, but when I do get it this week, I’m concerned about getting the first bar (typically a one-bar percussion loop I make by hitting my guitar in different places) matched up with the beat grid without having an audible click track. Since I usually play through Bose system, everyone hears what I hear. I really, really hope beat detection and quantization is in the works-if this unit let me just put the percussion loop in and matched tempo and bar to it, this system would be a world-beater and would finally be able to mix it up with the RC-300-I just wore out a second RC-300 unit but 1) like most of my live-looping colleagues, I won’t use pre-recorded loops, and 2) my looping needs are pretty simple but beat detection is sort of a must.
Hi Glade, thanks for the comment and we're glad you bought a unit. The ALS has the ability to route the click track to the Aux out so you can only hear the click track and not the audience. This will allow you to record your percussion track along with the click track. Also, there is a new beta version of firmware that allows you to record in free form. Check our latest post on our forum: forum.singularsound.com/t/aeros-firmware-2-15-x/17662?fbclid=IwAR3MzQLdD-X9hckP2j16LmqAmC81WJ6EKf6KRraUQtVhhk0ioSBYppkmvrk
I saw the FAQ "Would it be possible to send two different signals to 2 different amps? One to a bass guitar amp, the other to a guitar amp." But, once the signal is recorded, does the recorded loop separate the tracks to go to the intended outputs. For example, the problem I found with the Ditto X4 was that, although I could have 2 separate outputs one for each amp, (bass amp and one for guitar) once I recorded the loop, I could hear the bass in my guitar amp in playback. Hope that is clear.
Hi Donovan, thanks for the comment. We have not experienced this problem. The Aeros has the ability to send separate audio signals (e.g. bass signal to the left and a guitar to the right). We demonstrate this on the following video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-6_1-bAGq4DU.html
I must have an outdated firmware or something bc when I select play in freeform or in a certain bpm it leaves an entire measure gap between the first and last note- and I’m only using a guitar in currently... not what I expected but hopefully the support team has the work around
Make sure to update unit to the latest firmware update (3.4.2) via wifi. If you have trouble downloading it, reference this blog post on our forum to install it using an Sd-Card. forum.singularsound.com/t/aeros-firmware-3-4-x/23279
Hi there, thanks for the comment. Freeform mode should be available in the next few weeks. Feel free to reach out to us at support@singularsound.com for any further questions.
Hey dudes, is there a "reset" for this without deleting the latest updates? Just wondering. I know theres always just deleting previous song etc... starting fresh.
We have plans to include functionality similar to what you've said here. Basically, in freeform mode, you'll have the option to make tracks multiples or divisions of the length of the first loop, so if the first loop is 4 seconds long, the next track could be 2 seconds, 4 seconds, 8 seconds, etc. Unfortunately a bug prevented this from being included in the initial release, but it's one of teh top tasks for our engineers at the moment and we're hoping to have it working soon!
@@SingularSoundOfficial That is exactly what could bring me from my EHX 45000 over to this awesome looper you have created! Only reason is a lot of my songs work in that kind of technique and having multiples would be absolutely awesome! Can you also mute tracks via MIDI? I use a Nektar Pacer to mute tracks on the 45000 in stereo pairs and helps me build drop ins :) thanks!
@@SingularSoundOfficial can this device playback an entire recording of multiple loops simultaneously? As if you were listening to an entire song with multiple parts?
Hi Singular Sound....If recording tracks, I can do everyting with it, but do I make a transition to a part and record it, I see only play.....not overdub etc. If I presse the button, he going back to te tracks.........How can I overdub etc in the first part?....Thanks in advance.........This is only in the 6x6 mode.
Hey there, the rightmost button is called an RPO (record/play/overdub) button, it allows you to overdub once a track is already recorded, when selecting a track that has already been recorded to, you will see the "Overdub" text in the lower right. This button also mutes the track with a double tap. The Aeros has two layers of memory in each track, the base layer and the latest overdub layer. If you hold it, it undoes one layer of memory, if you keep holding you undo the base layer, you can do this again to redo the base layer then the overdub layer, or record again to overwrite one or both layers!
Singular Sound, Thank You for the answerd!...I think, I understand, I can do RPM at the first recording, but after the second, I can not do it again, becouse there is only the playbutton, to return to the song part. it is an amazing machine, which offers endless possibilities. That obviously makes it complicated and because it is still small, with only 3 buttons, which have multiple functions, fairly difficult to understand. It’s a matter of time. I am very happy with it and I think that I made a good choice together with the Beat Buddy!
Excellent video, thinking of getting one of these. Have not studied this fully, watched a few videos etc., but is it also a complete 'Midi'-Recorder Looper like a DAW, not just audio? ... Also, can you set tracks to a Lower sample rate setting for Lo-Fi recording results? That would be fantastic.. Thanks.
Thanks for the comment. This could be something we implement in a future. Feel free to join our forum to learn more about future updates. forum.singularsound.com/
Dear Singular Sound, I have been using this looper for a while and I am deeply impressed ... great machine, but I have one question. I also use it as a recording device, but after 25 bar it stops. Is it possible to have it recorded endlessly with the next update please?
Hey there, there is currently a 2:30 min limit on individual tracks, but are working on extending individual track recording length to the maximum song length which is 20 minutes for mono
Hi there, the recording time per song is 30 minutes mono / 15 minutes stereo. Using the internal Storage is 3 hours mono / 1 1/2 hours stereo. Using a 32 GB SD Card (not included) is 48 hours mono / 24 hours stereo. The maximum limit of each loop is 2:30 min. We're working on extending the recording time of each loop in a future firmware update.
@@SingularSoundOfficial you're right, I could. But for $600, it's a little crazy to not just slap a mic input onto the unit, dontcha think? Perhaps in a later version ;)
@@kevinbothwell8425 the mic preamp with allow you to have a better control of the gain and avoid clipping signal. We're thinking to add the mic jack on the next model.
Thanks for the feedback. You can add any effect before and after your signal. We recommend keeping the signal clean with no processing (effects) for post-production.
@@SingularSoundOfficial I use a computer with software for recording and would never use a looper for that but this looks like it could have been an all in one solution for live performance if it had effects. I know I could use effects before and after in the chain but that's more things to setup. So far rc505 is my favourite hardware looper as it has input and output effects. Nowadays I am using my iPad with quantiloop as I can use a multitude of effects all within the ipad. Its a bit buggy however so I'm always looking for a nice piece of hardware
