Steven Tyler has no business sounding this great at his age and after all that mileage. Simply the GOAT! The sound can never truly be the same without Joey Kramer laying down the beats, but this band never ceases to fire on all cylinders.
Yeah his voice is still there. His performance of the Beatles medley at Pauls thang was of the hook from a few years back. Im not a huge fan of the band, but i like a few songs and i can respect the talent when i see it. This happens to be my fav song by Aerosmith so im good with this :-)
@@tlbradio Agreed. To take absolutely nothing away from Mick....Steven Tyler, at ANY stage of the Stones' & Aerosmith's respective careers, has been a better singer than Mick.
He came out and hit that first note and my jaw dropped. I've told a lot of people that I don't think they would have sounded any better 25 years ago. Incredible show and a voice that doesn't compare to anything else
Their best song? I haven’t heard a convincing argument against it. Atmosphere, groove, style, cold bad ass attitude, swagger, playing, build to climax, danceable. For me, it’s their absolute peak.
Unless one is part of the band the best song argument for a band like Aerosmith is totally subjective. I personally think Mama Kin is the best song they sing. Most people don’t even know that song that casually listens to Aerosmith.
@@melissas9245 I think that’s their first great song. I’m partial to the swing of Same Old Story and Last Child, but far as lessons go on Aerosmith’s development, you can’t go wrong starting with Mama Kin.
After I put “ Toys” as my fave, started thinking WTF, Draw the Line, Dream On, Rats in Cellar, Uncle Salty, Walk This Way, Sweet Emotion…Band just had so so many great tunes to needle hole the ONE is assy
I typically don't go to concerts anymore because it's sad to see my heroes in decline. Aerosmith? I'd buy a ticket now to see them! They sound as great as they ever have. Steven Tyler is a freak of nature!
Unbelievable. You have lead singers 20 years younger than this guy that can't hit a note anymore (looking at you Axl and you Bon Jovi). Steven Tyler is truly amazing.
@@MaxGorischyeah he is man. I sold my tickets at a loss for the April Tampa show last year when I saw the shows before it on RU-vid. Everyone I talked to that went said it was brutal.
I'd be soooo tempted to take a baseball bat to every one of those damn phones blocking my view after paying hard earned cash to 'try' and see the stage unhindered. Ughh.... miss the old days.
Damn, this makes me want to see them after again seeing this (last time I saw them live was 1993). From all the turmoil, turbulence, in-band squabbling, rehabs, and other adversities they've faced in the last 20 years, this band still sounds good. I didn't expect Tyler to hit those notes at his age. I'm floored!
What an amazing show. Wife’s father was good friends with Tom the bassist and has seen them numerous times, my first time ever seeing them, wife’s first time at Fenway!! They killed it and sounded incredible. Emotional night for my wife and I, her first show without her dad, and Aerosmith having been my mother’s favorite band and she got to see them right before she passed away in 99’....incredible music, “it lifted me up!”
Steven is still handsome for his age, and his fucking voice ?!?!?!? What the hell is that ????? Despite everything he lived (desintox care, etc...), his age... this man is amazing ! Impossible not to worship !... how couldn't we love him ? He has an unrealistic strengh, he is an alien ! What madness ! I love him forever
1977 Seattle's Kingdome. Eleven year old me and my three best friends; Kevin Simon, Mike Parypa, and Wayne Magerstadt, all had tickets to see Rick Derringer {w/ Kenny Aaronson, Danny Johnston, and Vinnie Apice}, Jeff Beck w/ Jan Hammer, and Aerosmith on tour for their recently released "Rocks" LP. That's when a rock concert was a Rock Concert. Yes, they all sound wonderful here. But it's predictable as all hell. It's run through with the efficiency of ordering a McDonald's Super Meal Deal. Aerosmith in the '70s reflected the grit of Boston's Combat Zone; NYC's Lower East Side, Detroit's Cobo Hall Arena, two packs of Marlboro Reds, a quarter (four fingers) ounce of commercial weed, a half gram of ether-based cocaine, a case of Budweiser quarts, two Holly 650 carburetors on an Edelbrock Manifold in my '69 Camero. Evelyn Justiniano sitting next to me... Going to see Aerosmith was akin to seeing the New York Dolls with Johnny Thunders. I'm just happy that Steven, Joe, Brad, Tom and Joey {wherever he may be) are alive and okay.
Looks like a great time. Sounds like they did when I first saw them in 1975, wish I could have been there. A-Smith at Fenway, the best of all possible venues. Good video my man.
Look up Tyler’s involvement with a 14 year old girl when he was 27. Sick story. Yup, its true. Such a shame. I enjoyed his music. Can’t support that anymore. The rabbit hole is deep…very deep.
I don't understand how the vocals are so good. Other front men, like Axl Rose, seem to have lost their ability to sing. Seriously, he sounds like he's Mickey Mouse.
they looking STRONG !! so Coool to hear THE MOVIE, the instrumental at the end of Permanent Vacation, set to their early year picture footage, as a primer to them coming on stage. nice!
Bands have come and gone. Bands have changed lead singers. But with Aerosmith they grow on you. Yes they give you ups and downs just like Boston sports teams. This band to enjoy them you have to earn your Aerosmith wings. Doesn't matter how you earn them. Just get them and fly with them. Thank you Aerosmith
I saw them at MSG in 1994 -- first row center -- Steven threw the mic stand right at my face, i jumped back scared, he then whipped the stand back towards himself just before it clobbered me, he was holding onto the scarves wrapped around the mic stand -- and then he cackled like a hyena -- kids around me were giving me high fives as if i had done something great lol -- well -- they were on fire that night and hands down they were the best rock n roll band i ever saw -- the Garden was rocking like i had never felt it -- with the floor moving up and down under our feet -- what a night!
I shared a sponsor with him and Joe in NA, Kevin.D from Boys To Men home group in Fall River, MA....had to share a ride in a crowded van with both of them to a commitment in Cape Cod, Joe didn't say five words, Steven wouldn't shut up...he's out of his mind
I will do you all one better. I saw Aerosmith at a place called the Cape Cod Coliseum on old Cape Cod in 1973! How about that?? Sometimes I cannot believe it myself! They are still around! Incredible!
oh my word.. I play guitar because of this cover.. Ahhh My #Steventyler remember when I gave you a CD with "Do as I say on it?" AKA "Eat the rich"? "simethin borrowed somethin new but, fuk.., throw me a bone would ya?
Put your phone down people, enjoy it... jesus christ. And yes, I understand the irony of that statement in this context. I would be perfectly happy to wait for a properly recorded/produced recording of an event. I leave my phone in the car for concerts, because I'm not an idiot. I'll take everyones first hand word this was a great sounding concert.... because we can't tell, this is a shitty phone recording. My point is, whatever you record on your phone at a concert you are attending, will never, ever, be viewed as good after the fact. So put away your phone, and enjoy the concert, make memories. It's a tragedy how many people view a live concert through their phone screen, live.
