There's a way to play this same verse right using the A string on the 3rd fret and then cross-picking the G string, pulling off on the 2nd fret, and then 5th, 3rd, 2nd for the last part of that riff. It's MUCH easier to me than trying to play this all up on the 8th fret.
Finally! I found a video of someone playing this guitar cover correctly in every sense.. that was awesome! Your video should be at the top when people search for this cover on YT
one of the only songs ever to meld rock and rap together in harmony without anyone causing problems. And it brought Aerosmith back into the limelight too, so yeah there is that.
Instead of having to reach your pinky out to the 13th fret on the A you can just play the 8th fret on the D string, your index is already barred on 8 so it's an alright workaround. Sounds virtually the same as well.
@@alexc656 No problem! I have a stubby pinky finger so I'm used to finding the alternate way around that stuff 😅 Paul Gilbert has the most ridiculously long pinky finger I've seen. Looks like a freakin alien
@@GiveSic lol. I'm only 4 months into guitar and I'm still having some trouble stretching my pinky to the extended fret. Even if I do reach it I sometimes tend to buzz out that string because I can't get a good placement on it. I just need more practice
Hey Mr. Tabs. How do you feel playing all of these awesome, super famous songs? It must be so amazing. I'm trying to teach myself, I do it by ear mostly and make my own tabs but I don't post them anywhere. I mostly watch your videos for inspiration on what to play and how to make it sound. Thanks for doing this.
Great lesson. Can yo do " you give love a bad name" and include the talk box material? You do such a great job on all your video lessons. Thanks for your hard work helping everyone.
This is my favourite channel right now!! I should have gone to sleep hooooourrsss ago but I can't! I just grabbed my six string cuz sleep is for the weak! ;)
This track has got that special magic sauce. I don't like rap, or Aerosmith, but the first time I heard it I was grooving along to it and loving it. Finally remembered to learn it today and it's so simple in structure, but capturing the feel not so much. What is in that sauce? Edit - it tastes a little like ZZ Top.
Damn, Mr. Tabs, you nail all those classics right on the dot! You're a fantastic player, and have given me the inspiration to finally get going with learning the WHOLE song, not just "bits and pieces". And holy crap, you milk the bass line for the guitar part for all you can get here! Keep up the GREAT work! I love your channel and have become a subscriber!
The third and final solo, naturally done by Dick Wagner and not by perry ahahahaha 😅🤣, is something absolutely monstrous and inhuman and that no one in the world will ever be able to even remotely come close to!
