Any updates on the certification process? I would love to have an aerostar jet, the wing mounted engines look so cool like a miniature airliner and if the cost and performance is good I would definitely sell my Merlin IIIB and buy an aerostar jet.
Stops fine. Just about the same as the prop version with the short props. The idle thrust isn’t that much. This is the same engine on the Cessna Mustang which also does not have thrust reversers.
It’s kind of not a prop multi engine. Ted Smith designed this plane as a jet. Aerostar meant to be jet propelled from the very beginning. Back in the day they couldn’t find suitable engines for it.
