I'm a piano teacher, lots of Bach over the years, and have also been obsessed with Aes since Labor Days. Never have I ever thought these two geniuses could work together. Your work is seriously brilliant and extremely fun! Will be ready for what's next.
Listen, Bach was in the studio to rerecord some parts. As I understand it, he had some input on the final cut too so don't listen to whatever they say. Bach isn't just a ghost writer, he will show up and hop on a track if the project is right. Example, this project is underwritten by his label so yeah
You have brought musical genius full circle. Thank you. I need an MF DOOM and classical mash up. MF CHOOPIN? Wolfgang Amadeus DOOMzart? I trust you entirely for the fire.
What this? I always thought that after Bach, music only went downwards. Then heared Aesop Rock and started reconsider. But what now? It‘s like… thanks!
Thank you, this is fantastic! A lot of care, work, passion and love made this. Both of The Masters featured, in this inspired mashup, would appreciate it 🎉
Reason #420 why we need to support of our inner city public school music programs. This is a work of genius walking straight down the streets in a pair of Air Jordans while rockin' a powdered wig.
Welcome to the world of Mashups. lol Sometimes they're called Versus, sometimes they're called [artist] x [artist]. Aesop with Bach, Sewerslvut with death grips, Tool with Taylor Swift, so on and so forth.
My brother from another mother we can rap to anything or we can rap to nothing as long as we get to rap I don't give a crap slap a label on this and you won't be disappointed underrated overlooked but he speaks as if he's appointed so they anointed him now he's here to begin what was again and remind us all what lies within
Welcome to the Shakespeare of hip hop, iambic pentameter, a real heart. Mofuckin respect all day everyday. This man will change your life. I warn you though. The process won't be easy. Nothing worth it ever is.
Do I know yall? I have a handful I introduced him to. Got lucky with pandora/music genome project back in the day and found him myself and spread the good word to all who would listen.
@@i_am_non_a Love the segment from Cat Food to Night Light. Big Bang a personal favourite of mine. Loved the Hail Mary Mallon track(s) too. Was hoping for a The Yes & The Y'all, HMM Jonathan or The Soup (or any more of that LP to be honest). Really enjoyed the old tunes you made on this album.
Thanks to all the good comments I feel the same, this was posted on me and my wifes anniversary. Thank you for sharing this with the world, we need it.
This is incredible, bravo non-a. It opens a whole new dimension with both Bach and Aesop shining, I would have never expected this. What a genius move to make this mashup, and what talent to make it work. Aesop Rock is one of my favorite hip hop artists, and Bach is one of my favorite composers. I've been listening nonstop since finding it yesterday. I hope you'll continue this work, Bach/Aesop or others or your own. Just amazing. I hardly comment on youtube videos but in this case I just had to. Thank you so much!!!
The feverish passion of two genius artists. This is musical time travel. It almost slows Aesop’s ADHD flow down by a 1/16th of a beat signature. Well done. Holy fuc.k
Smashing the like button just for that title, but then the music starts and I wish I could smash it again. As a die hard Aesop fan and lover of baroque classical music, this is one of the greatest things the algorithm has ever math'd my way. Beyond dope!
I'm glad this came back in my algo. I remember riding my bike about 3 miles to town as a teen and smoking a bunch of weed w my friends, and listening to all of Aes's classics 15 years ago or so. Looking back, it felt like a spiritual experience while burning out of fuel doing about 15-20 miles by the end of the day and high or w my gf at the time. I love all of his work and his evolution seems fitting. Not trying to be like Pauly from the Sopranos looking all the way back to old times, but I'm glad that Aes was such a big influence on me. In school, I developed a decent writing voice and a lot of my Lexicon developed from studying Aes's choice of words on Rhymesayers. TO this day, I believe that my interest in etymology, words, and language was heavily influenced by Aes. I was left alone and not really parented and I had to find my own way to navigate through the years and the lure into language was very useful to trigger other areas of study and to this day, I am so happy everything went the way it did. Living well as an entrepreneur of 2 businesses, still making music of all sorts, and coming here to bask in these amazing works that take me way back. Next to Aes, August Burns Red was my most influential band at the time to build my poly-instrument journey. There was a lot of 9 hour+ days of blasting both artists, sneaking cigs out my window (haven't smoked now in 8 years), but it hit the spot back in the day being in an isolated location and looking to get lost in something. I ended up meeting Aes one day and have this dope photo from when I was 17 and got lost in NYC since my phone died and I relied on another fan to send me this pic, and I didn't get it for 2 days, but was so happy to receive it.
Are you out of your mind?? You can't drop something like this on YT and take over my playlist for the next month this easily. haha. Aesops grungy voice over those smooth Bach sounds, yikes! This is an ear orgasm masterpiece.
