@abcdefghi_ _lmnopqrstuvwxyz I don't think shaming nor pressuring someone to eat is the right way to go, unless it's been clearly established that she's in danger, such as when Jine from Oh My Girl was pulled from promotions and compulsorily hospitalized for her anorexia nervosa. A lot of things are just speculations at this point for Wonyoung as we don't know anything about her medical history. The most we can do, though it doesn't stop haters and shamers, is show her that a good portion of us will still love her regardless of how she looks, because we already appreciate her professionalism, and are open to seeing her grow.

OK, but I saw this instagram post of wonyoung's body and almost EVERYONE was complimenting her abs and what not. People WORSHIP her body. It's sad...

I just realized that wonyoung's weight is also a topic of attention and interest. What if she does this to gain more fame? It wouldn't be totally out of the ordinary for a celebrity. I’m a Blink/InSomnia/MY too. That’s my order of discovery. Not sure about the rules in SK regarding rookie groups. I figured it was only one year but it’s going on two years for Aespa. Anyway, I’m less concerned about music getting pushed back and more for all the hate Aespa gets. All members but especially Ningning and Giselle. One could always chalk it up to xenophobia but now Ningning is getting hate from her own country? What kind of sh** is that??? It’s already hard for idols like Yuqi, Han Dong and Ningning because they get hate from knetz and are treated as lessers overall. But for Ningning to get hate from the Chinese is unacceptable. All haters need to stay under their rocks and wallow in their own pathetic misery. I hope Ningning and all Chinese/Taiwanese idols roll their eyes, ignore that sh** and go spend money on nice things, good food and enjoy the lives they worked so hard for. I absolutely agree. I’ve recovered from an ED majority of the time we can’t see just how much weight we’ve lost and continue to loose it. It’s not like the company has said that she’s lost weight due to any medical condition or medication to protect her from false assumptions but this is obviously not the case.

I agree, especially since they just released Girls only 2 months ago. Aespa has a very complex concept and it requires a lot of different staff that other groups usually don't have since their music videos usually have beautiful CGI. The storyline is also very intricate and well thought out, so I would like to see them continue to prioritize quality over quantity.

I agree with you 100% The problem with eating disorders (which is likely the cause of her on-going weight-loss) is though, that the person suffering from it, will do everything in her/his power to make everyone believe that she/he is totally fine and everything is all right... it's part of this horrible illness.

Honestly, I'm not sure, but I don't think it's easy to be happy with this kind of environment. I am one year younger than her, and if I was in her place, I would be depressed and stressed in the inside, but smile in the outside. And I'm speaking from experience.

100% agree here 👏 I'm currently recovering from an ED, and especially still sometimes slipping back into that headspace, I'm well aware that one of the most dangerous aspects of EDs is that you truly don't realize how unhealthy/sick you are until people let you know. I personally think it should be done in the absolute nicest and most logical way possible (to help combat the unrealistic reasoning that the victim often uses due to where they're at, which is no fault of their own), but it is still important to mention when things aren't right- especially when it is to this extent and it is clearly unhealthy. Natural skinny exists. Very skinny and healthy can exist. But there is a certain point that can be reached where the person is clearly TOO skinny, and when that happens its important to mention. Eating disorders can cause permanent damage to every aspect of your body- your brain, your organs, even your cells themselves - so I think we honestly do lovely people like Wonyoung a massive disservice by continuing to act like there isn't even a chance anything could be wrong. Idk as someone with disordered eating and who has had a full blown ED for years before... does people commenting on it help at all...? It certainly doesn’t help me, if people praise me it fuels me to lose weight, if people criticize me it just makes me stressed because I’m already used to not eating. I think we should just stop singling out idols... we can talk about it how EDs are prevalent but I think singling out individuals is harmful for them :/

When someone says things like "Just eat a cheeseburger", it makes you feel ashamed and like you aren't good enough. That is almost always the case, completely understandable, and not the fault of any victim suffering with an ED (remember that for yourself too love 💕). When I said its important to mention, I was speaking in terms of saying things like, "Your weight doesn't affect your value as a person. Everybody who truly loves you will love you no matter what you weigh. But health is also important, and I'm concerned that there may be a chance you aren't as healthy as you could be. If you feel the same, I'm a safe space for you to talk about it, and there are tons of people out there to help. It is your decision, and either way you are beautiful. I just want you to be healthy as well." It draws the attention away from the weight (while still being reassuring that you ARE beautiful no matter what your weight is), and focuses more on health and wanting the person to be their best self. Not in a way that makes them feel that they aren't good enough now- just in a way to possibly jog their mind and help them begin to see the importance of health over appearance. Especially when we are all beautiful the way we are- even when unhealthy. And if your opinion is still the same, I totally respect that and you are 100% valid 💕 Everybody's experience is different and everybody handles both their struggles and their responses to people mentioning it differently. All are valid and important. The tricky thing with idols is that, as fans, we don't have the ability to be a "friend" to the possible sufferer, which makes things more tricky. But just like it is up to you to decide your journey and responses to people's comments (whether they're considerate and genuine or not, sadly), it is up to the idol to decide their own journey and their responses. The girls album was actually plannified to be released on APRIL/MARCH (aespa said that in an interview), so normally they recorded the songs since january/february. New Jeans, a 1 months old group sold 500000 copies and already have more that 7 mil Spotify listeners, after just 1 month. Their next comeback will be huge. Good music will always win in the end.

None of the other members are her size and visually Yujin looks almost double her size (not saying Yujin is fat, shes still skinny). I think its stress and societal pressure. I totally agree. In the beginning, Ningning and Karina were the ones that caught my attention the most, but I still didn't have a favorite in the group since I only became mine in Dreams Come True, by the way, Ningning was beautiful in that era, right? 😊 That's when I fell in love with aespa and found my favorite, Giselle 💙 I know a lot of things happened involving her and although I don't defend what she did, I still really like her. If you are one of the people who felt hurt by this, my comment may hurt you and I apologize for that. I just wanted to say that even though Giselle is my favorite I still like and support Ningning a lot. She is sweet and doesn't deserve any hate 💛🇧🇷

@@inlvwiththemoon I like all the girls, Ningning just happens to be my favorite. I enjoy their music and their concept, and I think they're a lot of fun to watch. The group wouldn't be the same without the four of them. I'm glad you support them, because a lot of people would just stick to their bias. It's easy to forget that without these specific four girls, AESPA wouldn't be AESPA. It wouldn't feel the same or look the same or sound the same.

@@dazzlinggleams Yes, I like and admire all of them a lot, but Giselle and Ningning are my favorites. I think it's normal in a group, despite liking them all, to have one or two specific members who always catch your attention first, but that doesn't make Winter and Karina any less valuable. There have been videos circulating of her having IV marks on her arm during performances. In the behind-the-scene for 'Life's Too Short', you can actually see someone putting make-up on the spot. There were also a few radio appearances and irl fanmeet that she was unable to attend since she was unwell, so I think that's what they meant. But performance wise? I think she's definitely had way more charisma than in their Savage comeback. Really hope she's okay though. And yeah, why can't people just leave Jennie and Taehyung alone lmao. It's like their first time seeing people in the same industry getting together or something.

I will say that I'm glad SM is taking it seriously and allowing her to rest and putting her health over making money. That's refreshing in this industry. As for Jennie and Taehyung, or any idols personal life, it's just not anybody's business. And I feel that way about any person business of any celebrity. Idols have jobs that put them in the public eye but that doesn't mean the public is entitled to every aspect of their lives. I think netizens need to take a good hard look at ourselves and recognize our own role in that system.
