I've heard Thirsty ever since it was teased on an IG live before the concert, and have been obsessed with it until now. Ive been looking forwards to seeing your reaction to this song specifically cuz I knew it'd be up your alley and the wait was worth it! Easily my top 3 aespa tracks.
Im not super into ballads either but til we meet again definitely grew on me even while listening. The vocals are too pretty and i really enjoy the build up near the end

Thirsty 10/10 > Spicy 10/10 > Welcome To My World 10/10 > I'm Unhappy 10/10 > Salty & Sweet 8.5/10 > Till We Meet Again 6.5/10 Overall: 8.2/10 The reason why I didn't rank the album a 10/10 is because they failed to cultivate a cohesive thematic listening experience and they failed to transition the sound imo. Tracks like Spicy and Salty & Sweet should had been tracks in the Girls EP. They just feel nothing like the real world imo. The lyricality and the lore visually make sense but sonically is rather a bit confusing. Nevertheless, I thoroughly enjoyed each of the individual tracks and it is one of the strongest releases in 2023. I find kpop 2023 to be really shit and this release thank God saved it.
@@felipeperez8354 sorry I am late but these type of ballad tracks are just unnecessary for aespa and it's merely serviceable at best. I am also not a fan of that genre unless it has substance, build up and feeling full in it's production. I would say, this track is on the better spectrum of aespa takes on ballads with the use of strings that made a thematic cohesive listening experience as heard in Welcome To My World and a key change to attract people and how to interest them in the song. I won't come back to this song unfortunately so that's why I gave it a 6.5/10.

I still don’t know how I feel about this mini as a whole. I don’t hate it, but I don’t love it either. Which really sucks after they delayed it for no reason. TBH, I am starting to think it’s just me. I have not been enjoying a majority of releases in the Kpop world these days. Everything has been VERY hit or miss. 🤷🏻
I guess it's just you, man. Maybe you're just not in the zone to enjoy these releases yet so in that case I'll diagnose you that maybe something tough is going on in your life but I hope that things eventually work out for you soon 😊
