People saying they sound different, don't u see sm artists recording their songs?? There's a lot of videos and u can clearly see they repeat every verse until the producer like it. They will try a lot of tones and voices so even if they sound a lil bit different it doesn't mean sm put autotune or effects on their voices.... They know how to sing and sound effects are cool (it doesn't mean they can't sing)

They sound different, because they sing a couple of octaves lower than the recording. And of course the producers add autotune. No one in their right mind will release a raw track, without corrections, even if Beyoncé is singing.
It's like her voice is always on autotune but its not, it has a unique vibe on it! When listening to every aespa song, the first voice I distinguish is Karina!
@@Taco6876 if they damage their voice it’s either cause their technique’s off or their overworking their vocal chords not dance. Dancing would affect stamina and voice projection.

SM doesn’t let any of Its artists sing live recently. Not even Tae and Red Velvet which are known for their godly vocals. If seniors can’t do anything about It what makes you think Aespa can go against SM's decision

Girl they literally lip sync in all their performances lol They are great vocalists (proved in their songs) but they are the complete opposite of "anti lipsync"
aespa has really good vocals. Even rappers can sing so good. Aespa shouldn't have any problems with singing live but why SM won't let the girls sing live? They are fully capable. SM should let the girls sing and not lipsync pre-recorded songs. It's giving them a bad reputation and I don't want the girls to have a bad rep :((

I always see ppl talking about how they don't sing live, etc, but they clearly are amazing singers. I can understand not wanting to strain their voices since they hit so many high notes !

They're singing in a lower pitch when they're on radio shows. It's probably better so that they can preserve their voices for the more intense live shows. Also, nearly all musicians on earth use some kind of autotune in their mics, so unless you are lucky enough to hear them sing acapella live with no mic (like Beyoncé does), you'll rarely know what any artist's voice sounds like.

I think they need more confidence to sing live. They are a bit self conscious in my opinion seen by how soft they do it and how they always look up and down as if seeing if the people listening there has a good reaction. If SM let them perform with live vocals then they will slowly build confidence. People just have to realize it won't be as crisp seeing as they will dance at the same time and vocal effects placed in the studio version won't be there. Clearly they can sing well.
I don't know why there are still people who criticize aespa's vocals, why don't they just accept that they can sing live/not and they are incredibly amazing! Watch this video for some fact and their other song!

gentle voices, very beautiful and completely natural. THAT is what i like to see sm, not the autotuned fake ass voices they pre-record every time they have a performance, it makes the song sound so artificial and impossible to sing properly.
Just wanna throw this into the face of people who say that aespa can't sing live.... I agree they lipsync for stage performances but yes you can't deny the fact that they are really stable with their voice.... Funny thing I see in comment sections & Twitter:Aespa doesn't sound like the mv when they sing live..SM is using too much autotune Broo...Those are not autotunes,SM artists don't need autotunes,that's why they're famous,they got the TALENT...Those are called compressions(everyone use it) and effects(to make it sound cooler than raw vocals)...If you haven't seen how SM artists do their recordings,go watch them...They're very passionate about how they sound so they keep on trying in different tones(even if the producer already like it,they ask if they can try it again until they really feel the vibe)and fyi..no one can sound just like a studio recorded audio in live...
Usually when recording for the song, hey have multiple takes, and pick the best. It’s not pitched up, but sometimes it’s hard for the singers to actually reach those vocals without practicing for a little bit. So on the spot they go with the lower tone so there are no voice cracks! :)

SM is globally popular entertainment group who gets millions of trainees for auditions...so they wouldn't have chosen members of aespa if they didn't know how to sing. So y'all stop bothering about them using voice effects of not.
singing it in all in a slightly lower tone that the original is so much more different than y'all think, i mean a lot of people can sing the notes they did here acapella but struggle to do the tone in the original. i think i understand why sm doesn't let aespa singing live, because once they failed reach highnote or vocal cracking, people will always remember that they can't singing. just like twice and blackpink during ddu3x era. having one or many mistake when singing are pretty normal, but people these days demand perfect performance.

some people really think singing and dancing the shit out of you at the same time is easy?? those who think its easy should try to do both at the same time, concentrate so you don't do ANY mistakes, sing perfect and look perfect at the same time, maybe also struggling with revealing outfits. our girls and all the other artists who lip sync are good vocalists, if they weren't, they wouldn't even be an idol. I accept that they lip sync.
The problem is aespa 99% of the time lipsyncs if it was just the occasional performance fair enough but they heavily rely on it at this point and considering they come from a company revered for having the best vocalists in the K-pop industry that’s not a good look for them. It’s literally their jobs to be able to perform and if they can’t even sing live most of the time then that’s clearly something both sm and aespa have to work on. However it’s not just an aespa issue it’s a wider issue with most K-pop artists nowadays most of them barely sing live anymore and it shouldn’t be normalised. singing whilst dancing isn’t easy in the slightest but it isn’t impossible that’s what the trainee period is there for…
