I loveee the gallery wall and I also agree that it would have been too busy on the other wall. I think it would look sooo good if you hung a large mirror on the open wall! It would really open the space and still fill that wall without it being too much.

Just to answer the building question, when you are calculating the dimension of its structure you have to take into account what is called usage overload which basically depends on the use that the building is designed for (residential, offices,…). So yeah, basically the structure always has a security margin just in case. :))

I love the victorian-French aesthetic ✨✨ but I think the vase would look really good on the pedestal and will distribute a little accent onto the bigger wall as well

it's a really small detail but i think centering the sideboard with the wall instead of pushing it to the wall would make such a huge difference especially since ur gallery wall is centered with the wall already !!

I'm all for mixing different styles! I think the gallery wall looks great bc the colors work together and I personally prefer this kind of eclectic style instead of a perfectly organized modern one. I think it was the cat that sold the gallery wall to me lol

I loveee the aesthetic! Also, if you want fresh flowers your vase you could move the fake flowers to the gallery wall by pushing them through the racket holes in the badminton racket and cut of the stems so that way it adds some color to the wall. And then you can switch out fresh flowers easily in the vase on the table. Just an idea. ;) Love your videos Jenn, can't wait for more!

it looks soooo pretty!!!! i feel like a gold rimmed mirror would look beautiful on the blank wall if you want to add anything else! it'd still match the theme bc gold and it'd just reflect all of your decor. it'd also make the space look bigger and more open! if you found something that'd work at a thrift store it'd look awesome there!

I would add a nice mirror to the one wall you left blank because it would make your space look bigger and it would add a bit of visual interest to the wall without being too busy! It would be so sick to see like a big Victorian one with like an intricate gold frame!

Ahhhh gorly I love all the colorssss the browns and tans and different shades. I love the mix of all the different things going on on the wall. I feel like it’s so much fun and has sooo much personality. Def agree with having that cabinet darker color. Even small pieces like choosing a different shade of smth really makes a big diff. The furniture looks soooo pretty and sturdy I’m in love😍😍😍so well done and so happy and proud of you!!

Suggestion: The dinning table side looks a bit empty next to that stunning gallery wall, I feel like moving the vase with the flowers to the table, or even adding a new one, would add a magical pop of colour 😍. Also, maybe painting the doors or the big wall a fun colour or putting up some wallpaper 👀. Anyway, excited for the rest of the makeover!!

The pedestal that was added at the end definitely adds that perfect finish, I know it can be hard to maintain real plants but a hanging plant would look really nice on top of it. Perhaps a glass vase with water in side would help with the maintenance (not a pot with dirt plant). Overall looks great Jen!!

Jen! Your question about the structural integrity of the building in relation to the heaviness of objects inside is not stupid at all! Typical items like furniture, millwork, and appliances are taken into account by structural engineers. If you were to add a particularly concentrated load like library book stacks, large file storage, or an automobile, you would need a structural engineer to analyze the building to make sure what you are adding won’t affect it or if you’d need additional structural support.

Hi jennifer. you're dining room looks so good and love that you went for a wooden table and not glass table. i had a suggestion. Since you are getting a lot of deliveries, I assume there is a lot of packaging I hope you are sending it for recycling and not just throwing it down the garbage chute. cause there is going to be so much plastic. can't wait for other rooms and an update on the bedroom!!

I like it. The gallery wall turned out nice, especially with the rod on it. The flower vase is also really cute. The only thing I would change is moving the pillar to the other side of the console table so that it's more visible.

I think moving the small mirror on top of the cabinet to the right would balance out the mirror on the wall better so they aren’t both on the left hand side. That racquet is so nice and you got so lucky with the artwork at the thrift store that day!

I love the room. A note about the off center ceiling light: if the wires were longer, could the fixture be moved to center it? But only if it's not a dangerous thing to do. I guess it depends on how many inches it would take to center the fixture, maybe the wires could be hidden by the fixture or painted the same color as the ceiling. If not, oh well, it's still cute.

I think you were right in putting the gallery wall on the other wall but I also think a large scale but simple framed painting would bring the space together bc I feel like naturally my eye wants to split the space into the "table side" and the "gallery wall side" just my opinion tho,,, either way It looks great and matches you so well
