In January I finally save enough money and bought myself a new Mac Book Air to replace my 10 year old Mac Book Pro for my birthday. I love it so much and it was so worth updating. Like you said, I usually try and only update things when I need to. I hope you enjoy your new computer and this made me want to customize my laptop even more. ☺️

I keep my boxes for a good amount of time, especially more so because you never know what might happen to the device and I might have to claim manufacturer warranty or something. I store them for about a year or two, always take photos before I store them of any serial codes or anything else that's important and store that on my Google Drive. Eventually if it's past the warranty period, I get rid of the box.

Could I just say, first and foremost, you are so cute and pretty, I loovveee your outfit with white ribbons! I was thinking of getting this macbook version, but I am going todo graphic design as a subject in school so I am getting the ipad instead, but I really enjoy looking at Apple unboxings so I came here to watch different point of views from each individual that I come across and how useful it is to them. First, congrats on the upgrade! Second, if you want to try to save any of your old stickers, try using a heat gun (on low) or hair dryer with a pair of scrapbooking tweezers to remove the old ones. Depending on the age, they may be sticky enough to apply on your new one. If not, 3M has some spray glue. I think there is a low adhesive one that is perfect for making or replenishing stickers.

i just stumbled upon your video while browsing for the macbook air m2 in starlight while waiting for mine to arrive. i have my macbook pro for around 12 yrs-- yes that long! lol! i don't do heavy stuff with it just a normal browsing and typing kind of thing but i seldom use it now because i'm browsing with my phone. back then i bought my macbook pro just for a change and i really didn't expect it that it would last me this long! i really got my money's worth with it and it's very durable. i really take good care of its appearance and if i'm going to remove the case that covers it, it would still look brand new. i'm the type who don't upgrade my electronics that often. i use them till it's finally time to buy a new one and i'm a middle aged gal who's not tech savvy. i'm excited to receive my new mac air m2 and for sure it's going to be a giant leap from my old one! 😁

When I was younger I would keep every box, I think I had every iPhone box since the 3GS, last year I was cleaning my apartment and found them all… I threw them all away. Now I only have my iPhone 14 Pro Max Box, I didn’t even upgrade to the 15 this year… I just don’t feel the need anymore.

I’m not that surprised that old MacBook Air lasted a decade. Many people don’t get that a Mac - because of the materials, the built quality, the software…just to name a few - when well-kept can last triple the time of a Windows pc….sometimes without getting any major problems by the time a Windows pc needs to be replaced because it’s become nearly unusable. Congrats and enjoy your new MacBook. 😘😘

@@user-tx5vr2lu6e older chip? The m1 pro chip is not old it just came out. It’s base model starts at 16 ram. The screen is pro motion and has an xdr display. Multiple ports and a 14 core gpu. That computer is miles ahead of the m2 air. Obviously you don’t know what you’re talking about lol. Please go look at Apple’s website, come back and try again

@@Chitown84 i really value portability since i travel a lot and work at cafes and stuff. the pro isn’t a ton heavier, but it’s enough to be annoying for me. also, and this is a me thing, but the sound of computer fans gives me weird anxiety lol so i liked that the air doesn’t have them. and tbh i preferred the starlight color to the pro colors available. also, for 1tb storage the pro would have still been $300 more. i’ve watched all the benchmarking videos and for my workflow, lifestyle, and taste, the air just made more sense.
