As a 45yr old wrestling fan who has been a diehard follower of the industry since he was 6 in 1982....AEW invigorated my love of this sport. Jungle Boy, Ricky Starks, Pillman jr, Hangman, and you too Eddie. Thanks for giving me something to look forward to each week.

he was alittle problematic in his younger days, especially in his earlier days in RoH. He really started to mature and become a leader in the locker room around his time in Chikara and it seems to have only gotten better and better since that time.

Wow this man is while everyone has their positions (faces of the company, future of AEW, etc), Eddie is the tongue. Every wrestler in that locker room is the heart and soul of that company (Eddie especially) but he brings the ability to articulate that spirit and give it voice. I’m so happy to be a fan of AEW. Where the craft and art is sacred and respect - and super fun!

And having respect and reverence for what you do is what I would call someone making their craft as sacred. (And RMj wrestled how long without a mask? It’s a part of the show/tradition at some point, especially in the west.)

there are a lot more positives from the pandemic era that AEW has given us: eddie kingston and ricky starks going from NWA to AEW, thunder rosa coming to AEW with permission from the NWA and helping that company when they lost momentum, and it brought brodie lee who made the dark order going from talented nobodies to the most loveable misfits that we root for. it also gave us new character development in britt baker from being a bland babyface to a great heel. it gave us tay conti. we got introduced to new talent like powerhouse hobbs, red velvet, and the acclaimed. miro and FTR became champs. we ended up getting a lot of good along with negatives that at least was a learning experience. at least AEW has done what it can to entertain us. what has meekmahan-land done?

@@Orpheusftw This is such an ignorant take. This is not 2000 WCW. In an industry where leaks and anonymous backchat are a normal thing, when do you ever hear it coming out of the AEW locker room? You don’t. The one major time it happened was Ivelisse, who has been fired multiple times now. And did they bury her? No, they quietly released her after the heat died down. They could have made her look like garbage and they chose not to. Not a single person in the company leaked a word about Brodie Lee’s health problems. This locker room sticks together.

@@Orpheusftw I’m saying you’re smart marking youself to death. In late WCW Kevin Nash was the lead booker and just put himself and his buddies over for no good reason. The locker room hated it because the young talent had no chance to get over. That’s not happening in AEW. If you think Omega and the Bucks aren’t good enough to have a run with the belts that’s on you I guess. But the fact that they’re EVPs has nothing to do with it. Tony Kahn is the lead booker. They are over as hell. Saying they are burying people is just wrong. You think Jungle Boy got buried last night? He became a bigger star. Disagree all you want but if you can’t see AEW elevating new talent I don’t know what you’re watching. And the guys in the locker room agree with me because you would know it if they didn’t.

Eddie Kingston is a gem. Any time he gets to talk, he holds an audience as good as the all time greats, and to see him stand alongside this ensemble of world traveled talent is a treat all on its own. We are very lucky to have AEW in our lives. :)

Love Eddie. I really appreciate that speech he just gave. Made me feel proud to be a fan of this company. Regardless of its flaws I still appreciate them trying their best to make the fans happy and entertain them.

Yeah man and what I like it alot of times they admit they are wrong instead of trying to cover it up or they make a story out of it. AEW isn't perfect but they give you what you want and you can see that the people their a genuinely happy to be there

He was a indie guy struggling almost a year ago . Now he is on TV every week and being a veteran locker room leader . Never had a title ah may not ever get a title but that promo is what gets you over with the locker room . He is a example that God has a plan and sometimes has a way of working stuff out and it doesn't happen on ur time. It took Kingston his whole career to get to this point . But he put the work in and that's all god ask for is jus pay you're dues and watch it work .

The mark of a great promo guy is that his character stays consistent, heel or babyface. Eddie Kingston is Eddie Kingston, heel or babyface, you know what he's about. His character has just developed over time, from a heel, to a babyface, and the progression feels so natural. For a while I thought Eddie came in so raw that it would be hard to by him as a babyface, but man, no matter what he does, he absolutely knocks it out of the park every single time. He is a bonefied main eventer who the world slept on for way too long. But not anymore.
