God I love this so much, even 6 months later. Punk was the physical embodiment of Eddie's depression. "You're a bum", "You're only good enough for Elevation andDark", "You wasted your opportunity"--- Stuff those of us who have depression tell ourselves every day. Beautiful, real storytelling.

THIS is what Punk needed for his first proper feud. It's unpredictable, lines are blurred, intense, and a wrestling fan's dream come true. They could do three moves and this match will rule.

This felt so real. The little touches such as Kingston swatting Punk's hand away. Punk's facial reactions and body language was great. Punk actually DID look like he was getting mad just as Eddie said so. The pull apart brawl was terrific as well.

As an old indie wrestling fan, its so amazing to see jon moxley, nick gage, eddie kingston, cm punk etc all together in the same federation infront of sold out arenas. They all deserve it after the torment they've went through. AEW made me a wrestling fan again

Eddie Kingston can talk to his own reflection and he'll still sell me on a storyline. Punk can talk about the concept of quantum mechanics and still get a huge pop. Two of the most effortlessly encaptivating people in all of wrestling, fitted into one ring.

Putting Punk and Eddie together is so smart. Their history, the way they feed off each other and the way Eddie is the only one so far that can work the crowd against Punk even if just for a moment is a recipe for greatness at Full Gear!!

As somebody that doesn’t watch much wrestling, this is the first time I’ve seen Kingston and I have to say, he really draws me into the storyline. He speaks with passion and really suspends disbelief. Respect to him. I hope this is the direction wrestling continues to go in. If so, I may just have to become a fan again. Well done to both of them
